But with the global ocean warming at exponential rates, is it not counter-intuitive planting more coral as that coral will just die in the next ocean heatwave? I understand rehabilitating the coral habitats but with continual ocean heatwaves and constant increase in temperature, the new coral will just continue to suffer too.
