They're all Chinese batteries now, including top name ones like Ionic. I use LiTime now. Same performance as my Dakota's, 1/3rd the price.

You can throw flies with an ultra light rod using torpedo float and a 4’ leader. Add a mini split shot if needed.

A fly rod on Memorial Day weekend over blue gill nests with a #6 wooly worm of almost any color gave me memories year after year when I was a kid.

Next time try a dry fly out there, like size 16 Adam’s. Bluegill and bass absolutely nail em.

Many long years ago my in-laws had a boat and a camper and they loved to go to Milford Lake and we always caught some nice fish there. It was a great fishing hole! All of the people that I went fishing with are now in the great camping spot in the sky! Happy fishing guys.

Isn't rabbit season always open in Kansas? I have a red dot on my Victory Model and it is a little tack driver, even with factoy grips. I also put a dot on my 10-22 takedown. My regular 10-22 is set up with a target stock and scope for shooting Project Appleseed shoots.

3 professional fishermen. 15 man hours. 9 fish. That is a whole lot better than I have done on the Wilson spawn. They will not hit. I put in more hours than that per fish. It would be a complete waste of time except that it feels so good when I quit and go home.

How far do white usually travel up rivers to spawn?

Good info on cover changes. But, hunting with a dog is half or more of the experience. Wouldn’t go without them. And they help find those wounded birds.

That’s awesome! Just found your channel. My grandfather grew up in Chapman, Kansas. I have old pictures of him in 1927 holding big catfish from that river. I lost him in 1982 when I was 11. I’ve always wanted to try to figure out where he fished as a kid by exploring that river on foot. This looks like so much fun. My days off I love getting in the truck and getting lost all day on the Kansas backroads. It reminds me of riding in his 69 cab over toothpaste green Chevy van wondering where we were headed next on an early Saturday morning. Always somewhere different and big stringers on the ride home. Thank God for UA-cam to help me out and learn special things like this🙂

Tried that exact spot today.. absolutely nothing there. Walked all over and across the lake searching, even way up in the river to 4 ft of water and never saw a fish on my fish finder. Good ice tho! Man! Like 10 inches of good ice 🧊
