    I want to learn 83, can didn't get anyone on youtube, so my question can this form help to learn 83 , or 48 is completely different from 83. Means is following this 48 worth for learning 83,

    • @menith
      @menith 9 місяців тому

      The 48 is just the 83 without all the repeated movements. So, yes, it is worth learning the 48. The forms are identical up to the 9th posture, wade forward and twist step. Then there is a repeated section, 7-9th postures, followed by the 10th through 20th postures. So, learning that part of the 48 will give you a real head start on the 83.

    • @Radheychib
      @Radheychib 9 місяців тому

      Sir you mean i have to learn upto 20 postures , or whole form. For 83

    • @menith
      @menith 9 місяців тому

      I'm saying that, if you learn the first 20 postures of the 48, it would be very easy to transition to the 83, because 48 and 83 are nearly identical up to that point. @@Radheychib

      I would love to do a series on the 83. This spring, when I can film outside, I will do my best to accomplish that. I will also try to finish the 48 Jian and the 46 cannon forms. I have plans to catalog the entirety of the Hunyuan system I have learned.

    • @Radheychib
      @Radheychib 10 місяців тому

      Yes sir, why so many forms, and i am confused which one is most efficient one, because as movement goes further mind take over and original got lost, I have mental understanding not embody ment experience. So confused Hope you got my question.

    • @menith
      @menith 10 місяців тому

      I think I understand your question. The Hunyuan system has 9 empty hand forms, that have been developed over time, by Grandmaster Feng. Some, like the 48 form, were developed to be a more efficient way to practice. Others, like the 24 cannon form, were developed to round out the skill set. The 24 form, that is now the standard, was developed both for beginners and for people with little time to practice. I recommend learning the 48 form, if you want to maximize your practice. The 48 is just the 83 form without the redundancy. for example, the 83 has 3 sets of Wave hands like clouds. The 48 has only one. While the 3 sets in the 83 are all different, they embody the same set of principles and most of the same body mechanics. so, it is more efficient, from a time perspective, to practice the 48. I hope that help? Please feel free to ask any other questions you may have.

    • @Radheychib
      @Radheychib 10 місяців тому

      @@menith so from TIME perspective 48 form is efficient, what about the physical, emotional, mental ,spiritual , martial and healing effectiveness for which actually we are practicing tai chi. So in terms of effect which is most efficient 83 or 48

    • @menith
      @menith 10 місяців тому

      I would say that the 48 is the most efficient for physical and martial practice. The 48 can be practiced twice for every one time that the 83 can be practiced. It also has great benefits for health. However, the 83 is more conducive to meditation. So, it is better for the spiritual, emotional and mental aspects. It really depends on your focus. However, that is not to say that the 48 is not good in those aspects or that the 83 is not good for physical and martial aspects. I believe that any form can be very meditative, once the choreography becomes second nature. @@Radheychib

    The AR worked well in this test, but if you were to reload and cycle the bolt with the charging handle, stuff will inevitably get in there and shut it down. The sealed action and dust cover setup is a double-edged sword. Stuff will always get in there. The closed nature of the design makes it harder to get it back out.

    The winner should be found by the less required cleaning time to make the gun run again. Soviet ones will be easier and faster to clean up. No country had to fight the wars so hard as Russia so they put reliability on 1st place. Make a melting test - how many mags in full auto gun can put through. AK7.62x39 will be the winner(less bullet speed equals less barrel overheating) or try freezing rain test. Many Canadian people choose SKS for reliability as AK is not available. Comparing AK and AR is like comparing subaru WRX and jeep rubicon. Each one will be good in conditions it made for.AR is great weapon for mid distance engagement in normal condition- no extreme cold, no desert, no mud. I would be interested to see how AR would cycle at -50C’ at Yukon…

    Where the AK wins hands down is remedial action. Literally remove dust cover, take out bolt/carrier and flush with a canteen, piss or whatever is at hand. The AR is better at keeping mud out yes, however if some gets in good luck getting it going again without a detail strip and clean.
