I own Susvaras and I got to hear both the Raal Immanus and Maganus side by side at the recent CanJam, and it’s impossible to hear the differences through a UA-cam video being played back through my iPad Pro speakers. 😂 Having said that, I love my Susvaras and they are truly a reference level end game headphone. To my ears, the Immanus are more deatiled and airy on the top end, but lack the bass punch and are alot more sibelant than Susvaras. The Maganus, however, wasn’t as sibelant and has a tuning much closer to Susvara, making them the ideal choice for an upgrade, in my opinion. Although for most people, that upgrade is unnecessary. The Maganus has the airiness and detail of an electrostat headphone without the sibelance, and still has good bass response, similar to a planar headphone like Susvara, making it the ideal choice.

My personal honest take on the Warwick Aperio GSE: While many complained that many reviews in the industry are paid but even that there are still truth and honesty in my opinion. The bottom line is I genuinely wish a better Aperio from the bottom of my heart as I paid tons and even more on the optimization with my hard earned money. Thus it pains me with a broken heart to say the GSE is simply not it for me. Admittedly the new EQ is smoother, softer with a layer of haze and added mid bass( loose in low quality) and width, however I must echo with many reputable reviews, and well known headfiers that it is alarmingly unextended& Congested& Overly Mid Centric, harming the depth, the dynamics, the balance, the scalability, and the neutrality that makes the OG compatible and beneficial to external source/ power/ and etc. If I could be honest, a tuning showing lack of both technical and empirical expertise. Personally I believe any attempt to please the audiophiles by sabotaging the sound balance is destined to be hard cope! More importantly, there are tons of healthy ways that could smooth out the highs and expand the staging without ruining the dynamics, linearity, sound balance and neutrality such as the warmer, smoother, more textured, and bigger sounding Gold Aperio , rather than gimmicky EQ, which is always hit and miss with give and more take. As a matter of fact, I’m not a fan of the OG Aperio at all and I even try to sell it at an insanely low price at one time before learning how to optimize it using Dessert Audio AC/ DC. Thanks to the courtesy of Warwick Accoustics, as their current customer, I AB compared Aperio OG and GSE for 30 min in a quiet booth and I’m pretty sure about what I heard, on top of three years ownership of the Aperio in conjunction with experimentation with close to half million setup with this unit! I’m afraid, this new “tuning” will, with no doubt, make it further falling behind the Raal Immanis which is way more balanced, natural, linear, bigger, deeper and much less colored in the right chain. After all, it is the sound that doesn’t lie and is free from circle culture with hot headed guardians and followers and marketing. Will me and my friends owning OG Aperio upgrade to this new tuning? The answer is too easy, we vote with our hard earned money and our own units! I would rather upgrade to the gold Aperio, not the golden sound edition, for the gold painting, because the gold Aperio at least looks good and add a tiny bit of warmth without harming the sound balance. For people with experience on this level, they are not that easy to be fooled and in reality most likely to be more experienced… I stand by every words with conscientiousness. I am sorry Golden sound and headphone.com( the dealer of Aperio GSE) can’t handle any constructive criticism, which is interesting as the Godlen Sound has been accusing others who can’t handle negative criticism he gave. They are trying to be distracting with irrelevant personal squirrels, using the golden sound’s army and hot headed followers. I have tons of love for the Aperio OG as a proud owner, as well as huge respect to Gold Aperio. I’m personally willing to upgrade to the new second generation of Warwick transducers but certainly not Golden sound’s tuning. If you want to buy GSE, I would highly recommend folks to definitely try the Gold Aperio and hear yourself. Let the sound make the judgement! Love& Peace

It is pretty obvious that the Stealth has fuller bass than the Immanis. The bass from Immanis is not like HE-1 and Vallary kind of congested bass, but more of a linear bass as Aperio OG and Heddphone TWO with bassMAX at Phantom. So what is good bass? Take stealth as the example. It has both the quality as well as quantity. It is full sounding with full harmonics and nuances while going deep enough even when there is no congestion with treated power. Nor does it need congested bassy cabling, bassy source nor bassy amp.

I used to hate the idea of crossfeed game in headfi, even I don’t have 5V PSU to fully experience upscaled center imaging without congestion … but 60 degree for Stealth on Phantom is good indeed, at least partially proving my mentor’s theory!

My Dessert Audio IEM system is set and ready to slaughter Brise Fugaku! If Fugaku is in ear Stax Omega, as my client hyped, this would be in ear Immanis!!!!!!! As someone who doesn’t care about IEM, I listened to my IE800 with my most recent optimized system for the whole night, as listening to floor standing speakers, insane! Damn, my only rival and competitor is ourselves at Dessert Audio throughout all formats and listening media!

The romantic vocals and musical smoothness are close to my Dessert chains tonally, except it sounds muffled and not deep, nor full enough. That is, man made tuning/ DSP might be able to mimic many things, but can’t never reach the absolute transparency, softness, deepness and clarity without a hint of sharpness and analytical thinness which only Dessert Audio wholesome approach could yet the commercial market fail to deliver.

People who think they can judge $10,000 headphones by listening to youtube audio. 🙄🙄🙄
