Thanks for explaining this. I just crashed my Air 3, breaking only one of the landing gear sticks. I can buy a replacement part on Amazon for $12 and fix it myself. Do you think it's worth the hassle of sending it back to DJI? I expect they will charge me more than that to fix it. I'll tell you, I thought I was getting free repair and replacement when I bought the 2-year plan.

The Basic Cert. in Canada (which I have) is much more intense than the TRUST, it's like the Part 107. Under 250g drones only apply to 109.6 in the regulations - that's it, and you do not need to take any tests or register the drone. If you fly heavier than 250g drones then you need at least the Basic Cert.

I have passed both the Canadian Basic and the Advanced certification exam as well as the US TRUST exam and the UK Civil Aviation Authority certificate exam. Although both Canadian exams are $10 each, the US TRUST and the UK's CAA free and can be passed online from anywhere in the world. I would go for the Part 107 exam just for fun but there's a cost that makes it prohibitive for just a recreational pilot. As a Canadian, If I want to fly in the US, I'll just register my NEO and AIR 3S with the FAA.

Is this the kind of drone being flown over military air bases recently both in the US and UK? If sponsored by a foreign government then cost and logistics not a problem. It has been reported some of the drone’s witnessed are the size of a small car so maybe?

They said payload drop and then showed the Drone delivering a package with a wire. You know damn well they aren't using it for that. Payload dropping is usually dropping bombs and munitions on soldiers these days. Just watch the fpv Drone videos that are all over the internet...
