I'm Daniel Fitzpatrick and I don't like to limit myself to any one type of music. I'm a classically trained composer, pianist, and guitarist-but it all began with banjo. Throughout my work I am continually pushing the boundaries of banjo across technique and genre.

Tchaikovsky: March from The Nutcracker | Banjo Solo
Переглядів 323Місяць тому
Hi, this is my solo banjo arrangement of the March from "The Nutcracker" by Peter Ilych Tchaikovsky..., but there's a bonus banjo part! This also may be the toughest Christmas tune I've taken on the banjo as there were so many parts to adapt to the instrument. Regardless, this classical masterpiece was a blast to put together and I hope you enjoy it this holiday season. Let me know what other c...

Another day of joy brought to you by Daniel. Thank you for sharing. Several creators across many genres have been doing frequent uploads this season, and it is such a nice feeling to grab the phone and find the notification was from your channel.
@cdmccul I'm glad you appreciated it! This will be my last video of the year, but I've already got many planned for next year. Thanks again for watching as always, and I hope you have a Merry Christmas!
@fitzpatrickmedia4359 I was saving the "Merry Christmas" for your last upload. :) Merry Christmas, Daniel!
I love this one! Your brother is pretty good on guitar too!
@DanAshby Thanks, and yeah, I just got reunited with my long-lost twin, and we decided to lay down this jam!
The best Christmas I could ask for right now. So meaningful. Thank you.
@cdmccul Thank you! I appreciate your positivity each time I release new music, it means alot. Merry Christmas!

Very nice. Hey drop in and see us. Some will remember you. :)
Thank you, and I'm sure I'll stop by eventually!
This is pretty wonderful. Thanks for posting. Really enjoyable on multiple levels: inspirational technique and beautiful to listen to.
Thank you, glad you appreciated all the different aspects of my arrangement!

I had a buddy from KY in the Marines who used to be able to fucking wail on banjo. It was great. I suggested he get an electric banjo and start a hard grass or blue core band
I need an electric banjo lol
Amazing sound 👌😔
Thank you!
Needs more love... FANTASTIC 👏
@@josephtyldesleycomposer Thank you!
Great arrangement! I love the rolls that you added in at 1:00, they suit it perfectly!
Thank you! Wouldn't be a true banjo arrangement without a couple rolls lol
Great performance. I used to play Larry McNeeley's version fro 1977 (Live at McCabe's Tab in the Banjo Newsletter) There is a video of him performing it but the introduction is long and the soubd quality of the banjo is poor. ua-cam.com/video/QI1osssxO_s/v-deo.htmlsi=tQ-Bh48Mt2VtLmmc Well done on producing such an interesting version. I think I'll have to start working on it again. lol.
@imac50 Thank you for the kind words. I have heard his version, it's pretty slick. I went for as much of a note for note transcription in this version, but I do plan on producing a bluegrassified version of Mozart's Eine Kleine Nachtmusik for next year!
@@fitzpatrickmedia4359 Looking forward to that!
Paddle faster I hear Ludwig Van
Not Ludwig!
Turkish March!!
I've played it on the piano... but yeah it always was missing the twang of the banjo! Lol
You deserve so much more following. My son can't listen to you right now, but I told him about it and we both just admitted the heck out of you and your creative and talent. Thank you so much for sharing with the world.
No worries, and thank you for consistently supporting my music!
As god intended
Really truly has a classical harpsichord feel to it
I suppose it does, someone made a similar statement on my Lacrimosa arrangement. I'll have to try out some Baroque music on the banjo!
Never cared much for the classical stuff, but this is on a different level. When is the album coming out? 🙂🙂
Thank you and right now, I'm working on some original compositions that I plan for release next year! All of the arrangements on this channel are available for streaming btw. Thanks again!
This is sick man
Heck yeah, thank you!
You are showing the world that the five-string banjo truly has no limits.
@@Nevada_Dan Thank you, that is the goal!
That was absolutely fantastic! Thanks for posting this gem.
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
If you haven’t done it already I’d really like to hear John Coltrane’s “Giant Steps” on Banjo, though I know that would be a bit of a departure from the classical stuff.
@JonathanDJCureton I'll check it out, I have done some jazz on banjo... earlier this year I recorded an arrangement of Fly Me To The Moon for the banjo. Honestly, it's probably my favorite piece I've arranged so far for the channel.
This was really incredible!
@JonathanDJCureton Thank you, and great to hear from you again!
Fantastic. Great with the chords etc up and down the neck.
@glenseguin572 Thank you! Those fast chords were a pain to get just right lol
Perfect. Exactly what Beethoven would have wanted.
