How many hours do we need to work in a week? @sadhanaworldfoundation2930
#karmayoga #detachment #balance #worklifebalance #bhagavadgitawisdom
Recently well-known business leaders advised us to put in long hours of work. They see an opportunity to progress in life and many others see this as an unfair ask. What’s the right way? Do our ancient texts give us some guidance?

What did you do when you failed to reach your goal? @sadhanaworldfoundation2930

#resilience #learntogrow #conviction #ancientwisdom #balance Great personalities always balanced pursuing their individual goals with the team’s goals; they were resilient to rise after every fall; they learned from every fall, adapted their next start. Einstein, Thomas Edison, Michael Jordan, Hanuman, Pandavas, Odysseus … the list is long! All of them did this!
Smokescreens hide facts. How do we recognise them and deal with them?

What’s the right gift? It’s not an easy question @sadhanaworldfoundation2930

#gifting #giving #charity #ego Choosing the right gift is easier said than done! Our ancient texts have left behind a wealth of wisdom to draw from. Karna was a great giver, but turned egoistic; so did many kings over time. All of them saw their downfalls. Givers gifted away selflessly to the right people at the right time, felt happy, spread happiness and set examples for all of us.

#hate #ancientwisdom #detachment #diversityinfaith #listening #forgiveness There’s no dearth of hatred in our world. Social media of our times have numerous such narratives. Do we react with anger, fear, frustration, rebellion and hatred? Or reject them, forgive them and embrace the diversity around us?
Why should everyone be happy? Sarve bhabantu sukhinah!

#charity #wellbeing #ancientwisdom @sadhanaworldfoundation2930 Sarve bhabantu sukhinah is a universal prayer. Is that a wishful thinking? Is there a deeper meaning? This story from Srimad Bhagabatpurana illustrates the power of deeper connections in human society and inspires us to care for everyone around us.

#givingup #surrender #innerstrength #selfconfidence #faith #ramayana #mahabharatatales #moralstories Hanuman, Arjun and Draupadi are characters from our ancient texts. All of them surrendered to a greater power. They let go of their needs to control the outcomes. They were great. Can we be?

#durgapuja #ancientwisdom #balancedapproach #reflectandlearn #challengeyourbeliefs #workingtogether #goodoverevil #innerstrength Maa Durga killed Mahishasura. The story gives us 5 lessons: good wins over evil; we need to work together; we must challenge our beliefs; we need a balanced approach between destructive and creative power; and finally develop inner strength.
Rahul or Arjun - who would you like to be? Find the balance in cultivating self esteem!
Переглядів 703 місяці тому
#selfesteem #karna #mahabharat @sadhanaworldfoundation2930 Rahul’s story is about the struggle with self doubt. Arjun’s is about the pitfall of overconfidence. And in our ancient text, Mahabharat, it’s Karna’s complex journey of self worth. We need to find a balance in cultivating healthy self esteem.

#learningstyles #reflections #ancientwisdom Arjun learned archery kinesthetically or by doing it himself, incorporating the advice he gets from his guru, Dronacharya. He learned from the discussions and lectures of his guru. He learned by reflections and understanding from his friend, philosopher, guide and guru, Sri Krishna. How much do we learn these days by reflection?
Why should we revere our teachers? Is this just an Indian tradition? @odiavloggerinbangalore3574
Переглядів 774 місяці тому
#teachersday #knowledge Do we worship teachers only in India? Rather it’s universal. Alexander, the Great revered his teacher, Aristotle. The disciples of Confucius made huge progress by his teachings. Chandragupta Maurya became great under the guidance of his teacher, Chanakya. Ulamas are revered in Islam; the tradition of worshiping Gurus is well known in Shikhism. The tradition is universal....

That's reason I like Rohit - He is a kind of leader who will do everything to the team win, a true leader always think about himself in the last. No matter how successful Rohit will be in terms of number of wins and loses but as a leader as a caption he is an Imotion.

Staying humble is ingrained in oriental cultures! When you touch feet of an elder, you need to bend down. Alas, these days, many such traditions are getting vanished on the altar of so-called modernity.

Hi, your endeavour to teach on religion is praiseworthy. However, your thoughts expressed in this video is too away from reality. Think of the holocaust in Germany during second world war. Think of the Puri Shankaracharya who not only justifies caste system but also justifies untouchability. It is too early too conclude that religion teaches only good thing and facts. Like, was there a PUSHPAK VIMAN which could fly. Please go through Manu Smruti once. Definitely, that will be an eye opener. All the best wishes for the future episodes on religion and moral teachings.

As you mentioned, life throws many surprises and most often, not pleasant. The learning, after a few decades of struggle has been to conserves ones emotional energy while you are high or low. Learn to accept loss and pain, while still striving to build. And sometimes just lie in surrender and let the universe take over.

Understanding Tell thyself today, Whether the truth be stormy or breezy Let it on your mind sit easy. Some do love you While others can’t bring themselves to, Some are sold already, while the other Do not for a million bucks bother, A bit of it has to do with their nature And a bit with your own, brother, The world’s ways are strange rather - Not all are made for each other. A few will take you for a ride To a few you too may have lied, A few parts will fall in your bucket While a few other will stray wide, From the times ancient This is the way the world works- How could you think you would be spared From all the hurts and all the smirks. Tell thyself today, Whether the truth be stormy or breezy Let it on your mind sit easy. Having crossed hurricanes of pain You draw nearer to the port of pleasure, Only to discover icebergs beneath Ready to take your measure, In a single moment it hits you hard Shivers of pain run unbarred - But does it mean we go and curse And against all a grudge nurse? If you can float past it all That is the best way, And if you can’t, in silence Feel free to dive away. Things like these are commonplace If you come to think- Where one suspects the least Is just the place where the ship does sink. Tell thyself today, Whether the truth be stormy or breezy Let it on your mind sit easy. Not all were made to your size Nor were you made to fit all, Some push you to the edge While you get some to play ball- But why must there be So much of stress and aching? If you reach for it the right way Bliss is there for the taking. The dawn’s light still feels sweet The sky still stays as blue When death comes, suddenly it strikes That Life is the better of the two. For whom the tears flowed And without whom nothing seemed right Now it seems even without The world glows no less bright. Tell thyself today, Whether the truth be stormy or breezy Let it on your mind sit easy. Sitting in the shade Of your own growing shadow If you make your life dark With your own ado, Arguing with your own destiny If striking at yourself is your plan, Then kindly get that over with, As soon as you can. Cry your heart out Fill up with tears a pitcher or two But however you can With yourself, just get it through. And in that peace, light the lamp Drive away the dark of your room- Whatever your differences with others Sweep off your mind with a broom. Tell thyself today, Whether the truth be stormy or breezy Let it on your mind sit easy.
