I don’t think this is Paul McCartney’s first solo album, in fact Paul’s first Solo album was called The Family Way Soundtrack which was recorded around late 1966 (sometime after The Beatles stopped touring and parted ways not to break up the band because they were still a really good band at the time) for the movie called The Family Way (even though it was credited as The George Martin Orchestra when it came out), and came out in 1967.

The Bangladesh set with Dylan, Russell and Harrison shows George’s guitar playing at its best. All through Dylan’s performance, he adds just the right notes in just the right places. His slide is just magnificent in this song. He does all of this with such a light touch, that you almost don’t notice it. It’s only when you listen closely do you realize how well this goes together to enhance Dylan’s performance, but never gets in the way. I’d like to listen to it now but my son absconded with my Concert for Bangladesh. Well, he has excellent taste. 😆
