I believe the main reason Samsung isn't as popular in the laptop space is there are so many other established brands like hp, asus, dell and so many others that it is quite saturated and samsung did not focus on laptops for quite some time so they have not gained the reputation for being a go to windows laptop brand. They have not gone all in on the pc side of things and kept their operation relatively small with a lot of countries not even getting the launch of galaxy books. Also they are quite expensive laptops, competition offers more for the same price.
