The yoke Jesus is talking about is the burden of the Law plus what Religious leaders added to it. Jesus doesn't give these burdens . As far as trials of life, Noone is exempt. The difference is we believers have him. Paul told Timothy, when going through great difficulty " be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. We need to learn to rely and trust God. Then he will get us through.

I was 18 in the Army in Germany, I am a Vietnam Era Veteran. I looked up & said God I have been lied to all my life, my Parents, the Educational System, the Law Enforcement Agency, College, The Military & everything else in this world. Its all a system created by man, because life in this world is a lie, it has nothing to offer anyone after you die, no matter how great your achievements have been on this earth. I told God I only want one thing out of life, the truth, whats this all about? I have been on a rocky road. I quit drinking in 1985 but got into meth on & off for 20 yrs & Christianity on & off for 34 yrs. I stayed with Christianity though. By staying with God & reading the Bible, God gave me the strength in Jesus to walk away from it all cold turkey in 2007. God answered my prayer, I found the truth in Jesus, The Word of God. The Bible teaches us that what we suffer in this world can not compare to the suffering that Jesus went through on The Cross to save us. Therefore His yoke is easy & His burden is light compared to the yoke that He bore & the burden He had to carry for us. I have been clean 18 yrs & the yoke gets easier & the burden gets lighter everyday by staying connected to Jesus in prayer & studying His word, Praising Our Father in Heaven & sharing with others about our Lord & Savior. Our Father in Heaven is the only one who offers us something else after we die or if we are still alive when He comes back. Which is soon. 1st Corinthians 9:25 Clear Word Version... Now those who compete in these games train their bodies and abstain from anything that would be harmful. They do it to win that laurel wreath which will soon fade and die, while the prize we receive is the Crown of Eternal Life which will last FOREVER.... So run a good race & fight a good fight. Blessings to you all & your families.

I wonder about the burden being “light” sometimes too, but I do think Jesus was referring to the burden He bore for us in comparison! And he often tells us that a Christian life is difficult…. Enjoyed the interview!

Praise the Lord, I had a feeling he was a believer watching the videos, the calmness and inner strength is evident. I’ve been through the valley too, grateful he trusted and made it through as his life is a blessing to all of us- I wish he could see my kiddo’s eyes light up hearing him talking about Jesus after all the time we have spent enjoying Desert Drifter.

Faith is so personal. Maybe your ministry is now bringing beauty, vastness, and mystery to all of us. The magnificents of the Divine is so much more than words on a page. I just heard something that brings me great joy.. " when ever we feel love it's only source is God". That means we are always connected. Desert Drifter is my new obsession! Im an archeologist from South Africa and have been totally immersed in his videos... to stumble across the fact that he serves the Lord God Almighty just makes his purpose and adventures so much more meaningful!!!

I have been following Desert Drifter for awhile and love it. Somehow I just knew he was a Christian although I hadn't heard anything of his journey. Andrew, keep pursuing Him and the outdoors! I think He can do something with this.
