I am creating this channel to help people in my community. I currently work in the tech community but supported myself through college by landscaping and mowing lawns. I have experience mowing commercial and residential properties. I am at a point in my life where I want to give back and help folks who are having a hard time keeping their properties maintained. I made mistakes in my early life and was given a second chance and support when I needed it the most. I want to be able to help people 1 yard at a time and give back what was freely given to me.

15 years of Overgrowth. From Legal Troubles to Leveled
This week we are at a house a couple of blocks over from mine. A viewer contacted me on Facebook and asked if I could help out with a fence line on his property that had become too big a job for he and his sons to tackle. I happily agreed as these kinds of projects are right up my alley. He said he had received a couple of notices from the city and the last one in June threatened legal action if he didn't take care of the issue. The Homeowner, Chris who is disabled from a combination of a childhood ailment and a pretty serious car accident tried to do the job but it proved to be too big for he and his sons. They did start in the back around the pond but that was pretty overwhelming for him. He paid someone a pretty large sum to take care of the fence line but they never returned to finish. I hate to hear stories like this but being in the position to help out I'm glad he contacted me.
I want to thank you all for watching and I sincerely hope you enjoy the content. I might be good at cleaning up, but I am still learning on how to be more efficient and entertaining at the same time. I know my videography still needs some work, but I do see a progression and I hope you all do to.
Please like, share and subscribe. This will help me make more videos and help more people in the community. Feel free to comment positive or negative to help me make the channel better.

Hi Guys, This is set of videos for the Overgrown Backyard series all joined together from start to finish. This project took several weekends for me to complete due to weather and my work schedule. There was a lot to do and we got a lot accomplished in that time. I battled vines, poison ivy, heat and my own OCD to power through and get this one done. I want to thank you all for watching and I s...
Holy Transformation

This is the epic finale to the Overgrown Backyard House that has taken me over a month to complete. I apologize that this last video has taken longer to get out, but weather and work commitments kept me away for a week. But we're back and ready to finish up. Please watch all the way till the end for some epic before and after shots and some aerial footage from the drone. I did have a request to...
Taming the Overgrown Backyard: Battling Through the Vines of Hell

The heat returns to Ohio and I return to the Overgrown Backyard once again to battle vines, Honeysuckle and my own ADD/OCD. Really hoping to finish soon, but I keep finding things I don't want to leave but I know it's never going to be 100% perfect. Trying to accept that I can only do so much and that I'm leaving it better than I found it. Thank Your all for your support in subscribing and watc...
We finally uncover the hidden Great Wall
Переглядів 1,3 тис.Місяць тому
In this video we return yet again to the overgrown backyard in my neighborhood. We are going to tackle the honeysuckle growing out of the back fence that has taken over. We uncover a 2 tier retaining wall that was built back in the 90's by my friends Dad who was one of the former owners of this home. I want to say thank you to all of you that have supported the channel by subscribing this far a...

This week on @PhilMows we revisit the overgrown back yard we were working on in the last video. It's been hot (Heat Emergency) and the progress for me has been slow. With work and family commitments I've only been able to spend a few hours at a time here, but I am making progress. In this weeks video you will see me conquer the biggest part of this back yard and get to a place where you can act...
New Video of Back Yard

Hi all, This is Part 1 and 2 of the backyard of the house I started in last weeks video. This week we get started clearing a path back to the back of the yard as well as clearing off the part of the fence line and shed. I've had to go slow the last couple of weeks as it's been hot with high humidity. I think I might be the sweatiest guy on UA-cam, not because I work the hardest but because I'm ...
First Mowing Video and it's a big job.

Hi All, This is PhilMows and this is my first video. I know it's not an entirely new idea, but the purpose of my channel is to help people by giving them free yard makeovers. This week I'm mowing a yard in the neighborhood that I grew up in. This house in particular is where some of my best friends lived. I spent a lot of time in this house and in the yard. As a kid this was my home away from h...
Amazing work. You’re a good man.
Thank you kindly
Love the time-lapse and edit Bro.. Awesome work!
Thanks for watching!
This came in my feed, caught my interest and watched. Subscribed. Good idea to put this shorter video together. Good luck with the channel.
Thanks for watching!
Slow it down please. People like to learn how to trim and organize the clean.
Hi Carol thanks for watching. This video is a compilation of 6 other videos which are slowed down so you can see how I did the work. Please visit the channel UA-cam.com/@philmows to see the videos in sequence and slower speed.
👍
I would have took all the mulch and the trash to the land fill....so it can start all over again to grow grass
I agree to some degree. The problem was that there was nothing under the mulch and it was going to be very muddy when it rained. I did grind the mulch up enough that it should break down over the next few months and be ready for grass in the Spring. In fact in the last video you can see some sprouts starting to come through.
Great clean up !!! This was cool to watch . Time for me to work as well . 🔥 vid
Thanks 👍
Start to being another awesome lawn guy
Looks great, Phil! I hope whomever owns it is able to resume maintenance.
I hope so too!
That was a lot of work but such a beautiful wall
Yes it is. I think it's held up pretty well considering it's about 35 years old and has trees growing out of it. I wish I'd had more time there, but that job has me behind about 3 weeks and I've been contacted by a lot of people who would like some help before winter hits. Thanks so much for watching!
That was wild! You did a great job clearing it. I can't believe the growth coming out of the retaining wall, especially that tree. I was almost sorry to see it go, LOL.
Glad you enjoyed it
Also next video can you put a link to the tools you use to make quick work of that overgrowth
How does it look after the hurricane
❤
Your mic is not working
Hey thanks for responding. There was an issue with audio when uploading this video for some reason. I appreciate you reaching out. I will test audio more thoroughly when i do my next upload. Thanks for watching!
Phil, I’m very impressed by the quality of your work. You are doing a great job for the home owners. Remind them to keep up with the yard work after you leave. That honeysuckle will just grow back quickly. Love what you are doing
Thanks Carol!

👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻Hi from Jen in WV! Your wifey's cousin in PA said to subscribe so I have!
I'm sure that was one of my favorite people, Chris B. She's awesome and thank you for subscribing! Hope you enjoyed the channel and check back soon for updates.
I hate honeysuckle SO MUCH 😂
Can you come do my neighbors yard he's old
Hey Danny hit me up on FB and shoot me an address and I'd love to help. You can also email me at philmowsyards@gmail.com
Doing very well, however some of your transformation is off camera. Kinda boring seeing concrete or just debris and hearing you work in the background. Hope this helps for your future videos
Hey thank you for the feedback. I agree, and if you watch some of my later videos you'll see that the camera work is getting better. I do want to make this as entertaining as possible so I do take this to heart and will do my best to make future videos more watchable. Please check back and comment again!
@@PhilMows thank you! I will continue to watch your yard transformations!
It’s like discovering Land of The Lost 😂
You are definitely getting closer to Hoffa’s body!
Looks a thousand times better
I agree with you starting in the front. (The back is too big a job to get into alone, and after doing front and sides.) But I haven't watched much yet. If you had a helper or two, it would make a big difference! I hope you get a helper. Nice that you use a bagger on the lawnmower. I think it makes the job look much cleaner. I use a bagger, too.
Thanks for sharing!
