Plan B - Base Rescue - Acro Paragliding

Inner A lines failed on both risers during rhythmic. Last acro run for the Trickster. Replacement lines are double the diameter of the broken lines and I have now been informed it is a common failure on this glider. The inner A’s on both my Nikita and Emilie are substantially thicker and more confidence inspiring. Good outcomes with a good rescue system!

Tasman Saddle Ski Touring

Spring ski touring in the heart of the NZ Alps. After flying in from Mt Cook Village we spent 4 days in the Tasman Saddle Hut skiing the surrounding area. Skied far more than we had hoped with a ski descent of Elie De Beaumont in mostly dry boot top powder. The ski down the Tasman Glacier offered natures silkiest groomed surface to get to ‘white ice’ for a heli out.

Hi there, that is fantastic, it really is an amazing place to fly and I am sure you will enjoy it. You will need a visitors licence to fly here. There is a bit of a process to go through but it is rather straight forward and easy to do. Your overseas rating will need to be equivalent to the NZ PG2 or above. Best check on the NZHGPGA website. nzhgpa.org.nz/flying-in-nz/
