I might've missed something, but you do know you could've gotten that pirate dreadnaught for free, right? If you had taken out the engines and then destroyed either the 6 big anti-freighter cannons or the shield generators, it would've surrendered to you. Then you could've boarded it and demanded the captain hand over command to you. That works even if you've already claimed a free freighter of any type.

Personally I find that farming runaway mold is less trouble. Once you find and mark a spot you just blast out of orbit and back in and they reappear. Each stack of 9999 fungal mold gives you 1999 nanites once you run them through a refiner. You can easily get over 60,000 nanites within an hour worth of work.

There is a better way to move without causing epilepsy. Shoot with a weapon once, hold the melee button and spam reload. The timing can get a little tricky so use a weapon module that has a slow reload. This works because the hold melee button cancels the reload and vice versa so you can spam shoulderbash really fast and works even better as with the visor.

Just tame a megafauna and ride it if you don't have exocraft unlocked. They're fast and (usually) won't induce migraines xD I appreciate that the technique in the video is faster, but that's painful to watch lol

Another trick to finding nanite farms/bases with runaway mold w/o nanite in base name is to look at base pic and look for the runaway mold balls. Then build your own base close to it and never lose it. I have 2 exocrafts filled up with runaway mold for whenever I might need it and put in for Expeditions.

The quickest way is finding nanite farms/bases with runaway mold and raid it, then refine it. The base owners will never miss it as they replenish so fast ! You talk about getting 14-18k nanites yet you only have around 16k. Been playing 4 month and have over 220k nanites AFTER buying a bunch of stuff. And my Units is in billions. 210 Subs.....better vids out there that I follow.

Nice trick, but i stick on old melee jump. Fully upgraded Nomad is an excellent option too, got some work on it and now it reaches more than 80 u/s, great for moving from point A to point B

Personally, I imported a real multitool from my main save (S-class). That, plus I think there are better weapons than the pulse spitter. I prefer using the scatter blaster. Also, it can be useful to use a secondary weapon like the paralysis mortar or I think there's a shield one. You'd have to not rely on the expedition drops for this (or like I said, my tool was fully kitted from my main save).

I dont think taking 1 hour to do a quest is a bad thing, if you want a short game call of duty or assassins creed are more up your alley. If this is just for click bait good one you got my comment, but this game is by far not bad for having quests that take actual effort to complete.

I would place a base with the device to restore my defense to keep the "spirits" away, while killing the "Quadrapeds"! But it did take about 30 minutes to kill my 4!

Tip. Enter the anamoly. Exit ship to save. Go to quick silver vendor. Buy item. Exit to restore point (not save). When you reload you will have that quicksilver back in your inventory. But when you go to the vendor the item you bought no longer shows how much - it simply says available. Viola. Buy everything. Never grind quicksilver. It's stupid. Enjoy your free items. All of them. This only works on items not consumables like void eggs or fireworks.

Tip: put all your materials on the freighter, then equip it with a stuff teleport. You just need to summon it inside the system, basically you have a giant space bag that keep free your inventory and prevent you to run out of ammo, ore, and so on.

Reload spamming (aka the NMS shuffle) does better than this, without the flashing.

Just a tip: Different colored stars [red, green, blue, cadmium emeril and indium respectively] are basically the same as normal stars, apart from having different stellar metals. I *think* [emphasis on THINK] they have a higher chance of rarer planet types, but thats about it. Tip: If you equip the Indium Drive [blue star drive], then you dont need to equip the others [same with emeril], though have them all does give about a 150ly jump range boost

This could make for an interesting src category, most units after an hour, furthest story completion, most planets/systems visited, etc

You can also use the stone skipping method, you melee and jetpack boost, and as you land you melee and jetpack boost again, rinse and repeat until your jetpack is exhausted
