That’s why mods exist. But yeah it’s unjust that despite players complaining about Lost World and Forces’ physics and level design. The only thing they do was copy and paste portions of levels from different games, and made the physics worse. It is not that hard to replicate physics, even though it’s from a different engine, everything is basically laid out for you.

i found a way to fix t hat whole stopping on a dime thing just set jump deceleration to zero and activate the boost with jump not only these changes will maintain sonic's momentum while running but in boosting while jump you can carry the speed. you can just do it in the game setting they already fixed it and also if you have complain about cyberspace spindash is here to cover you.

Sonic Superstars gets my rating of a 7.5/10. Better than Sonic 4, but not as good as Sonic Mania

The fact that "brand new levels" was a selling point is kinda sad. But hey that's what happens when reusing levels for so long

You were fighting wyvern wrong. You’re meant to parry the missiles, also you don’t even have to move to do the fight, it’s just hold parry, (cuz it’s infinite) block the missile, stomp him, repeat, do QTE, and win. It’s not fun if you do it right. Also, the updates fixed most issues you had, like the ending, new challenges, and the spin dash

Yeah jn frontiers they used forces physics with open world engine and that was made off of lost world which had no real physics and had a run button but spindash of incline from adventure games is back but the boost is so WEAK in this game

Sonic isn't about his natural speed. It's about using the level design to your advantage. Besides, you can change Sonic's physics in the Options.

Terrible bosses aside, my biggest issue with Superstar comes from the level designs & co-op. The first halve of the zone started off good. But once we get into Lagoon City, things have gotten worst. So much of stop & go, pressing switch, pushing that, doing this, basically anything that makes you do things rather than rewarding with speed. They also add too many gimmicks in each levels that are hit & miss and can get pretty obnoxious too. The camera gets to close to Sonic that anything hits you off screen. The Emeralds Power; while cool idea in theory, are very underwhelming and the game lacks any polished. And than there's the co-op; which is supposed to be the games main selling point. But it is by far the worst co-op of any video game I've seen. Even the New Super Mario Bros games has co-op that are better than this. This is a shame really. This game has so much potential and could've been an great game. But what we got is an average game at best and unplayable at worst.

3:00 Jumping off inclines is soooo fun. Ever since they brought it back in Dream Team, I've been doing it in every sonic game since. It works well in Colors too!! Wish more level design was built around it, but you mostly use it for faster times or for fun. Dream Team does make use of it though for red rings and secret areas which is very nice

Look I just think the easiest and more efficient solution to this was for Sega to add split screen since sonic is a really fast paced game and whenever the player is too far it can just teleport them back

I do understand the disappointment of Superstars not being hand-drawn, but I don't understand how people find it ugly. Superstars is in my opinion the best looking Sonic game yet.

The game was actually supposed to look like that, but they changed it to 3D, because they thought that "the fans would like it". It was probably because of time and budget restraints though.

I mean, after they make one, they can just reuse the sprite sheet too, maybe as time goes on adjust a few colours, shade them a tad, add more animations for different gimmicks in different games...

I agree with with this statement. Like imagine a classic sonic game that has the hand drawn artsyle of SOR 4 or Streets of Rage 4

People forget the old Sonic games' graphics were actually inspired by early 90s CGI, which is why palmtree leaves look polygonal, why flowers look spikey, why there's checkerboard patterns everywhere, and such. Even the bonus stages seem inspired by early 3D animation. Not to mention the title screens for Sonic 3 and S&K look almost like Donkey Kong Country style rendered graphics. So honestly 3D does suit retro Sonic because 3D style effects are a part of Classic Sonic too.
