My dance partner and I have worked on their routine, she mostly learns from step sheets(if I say step right-she can't do it till she sees it on the step sheet-very frustrating for me). We do Country Western line and (mostly) couples dancing. We've learned over 70 couples dances and try to keep up with about 50 of them so we practice once a week and dance 3 times a week. I hope you enjoy dancing as much as we do.
@@charlesmeister4506 thanks Charles. I have taught my wife a basic lindy circle and used the Charleston as part of our aerobics on the kitchen floor because of the pandemic. Where we dance we are the only lindy hoppers albeit beginner and elderly energy. Lol. When the lindy hopper group opens up their dances, I will have a chance to show her this dance is for the youngsters. I use a basic Argentine milonga to cope with the monotonous rock n roll band where we sometimes go. Dancing is fun, isn't it, Charles?

How do you get that good at dancing? I have recently started, and really enjoy it. I just don't like doing just the standard two-step.
I see this guy at all the Vietnamese places with no floor etiquette.
That's very unfortunate. He will get a sharp elbow if he ever comes near me without floor etiquette.

Start easy: Don't swirl, spin or try to get fancy. Yet. Start with the "square" waltz (Male: L step forward, R go forward with an L and end up forward and to the right. Pause just a hair on your toes (you're blending three steps into a 4 count!) so shift your balance, then come straight back with your R. Your left now comes back with an L step (so you end up at the same spot you started with!) and close with your R. Shift your balance again as you pause in the 3-4> pattern. Repeat.
