I'm confident that the moonlight boy is going to play an important role in the story. Sure, he's basically a walking weak spot for Griffith, as anybody can kill them both if they just take out the moonlight boy, but I'm sure he's more important than just being an easy yet fucked way for Guts to kill Griffith. Remember the Holy See's doctrines of the Hawk of Light overcoming the Hawk of Darkness? Even though he's pretending to be the Hawk of Light, Femto is obviously The Hawk of Darkness: leader of the blind white sheep(humans) and master of the sinful black sheep (Apostles). (And also since his demon form is literally a dark-colored hawk). What if the Moonlight Boy is the true Hawk of Light? When he stops Guts from losing himself in the Berserker Armor during the fight on the beach, he's a being of pure light. Ever since he was born, everything he's done has been to protect his parents. I suspect that he'll keep trying to do that, even if he has to defeat a literal god to do so. (It'd also be a poetic end to Griffith: the one act he does to cement himself as evil and cause as much suffering to Guts and Casca possible turns out to be his undoing.)

What if in the middle of the final battle we get a repeat of Theresia walking in on Guts fighting the slug count, and Charlotte sees Femto. When she learns what Grifith did to Guts and the band of the hawk Guts' behelit finally activates, and Charlotte is given the choice to sacrifice Griffith so that she can abandon her grief along with her humanity, mirroring the time the count was given the choice to sacrifice his wife? It's a deus ex machina but it's thematically appropriate, with causality repeating itself, plus I have no idea how the hell anybody is supposed to physically kill a god hand member

I have a feeling that during a fight like that… the fight might go long enough and before we have a definitive answer on whether guts will or will not kill the moonlight child… due to some miracle or whatever the plot at the point is… Griffith loses control over the body and the moonlight child gets to be his own character to grow…

When you actually watch the eclipse happen you can see that both Griffith and Guts in a fake scenario in wich theyre family (both respectively being eachothers father). Thats a moonlight child reference. It represents that the moonlight child not only is just Griffith, but its also Casca's child. Therefore Guts' adoptive child. This would be a matter of: does Guts hate Griffith more than he'd love his own child? Not only that but also his familial bond with Casca.

Nah guts has killed possessed children before and he knows the child isnt real its just Griffith so i doubt it gonna happen
