Maybe it's semantics, but the steak looked medium rare to me. Why not send it back for two more minutes on the grill if you didn't think so?
the husk cherry is the orange on the halibut dish, the one you have labeled as husk cherry is cucamelon or also called mouse melon.
This is not Chinese cooking. More like western cuisine using some Chinese ingredients. Still looks delicious 👍
love your videos :) Need more sf content creators
Thanks for watching! More to come.
can't wait for more michelin sf hits
Thanks for following us as we make our way through SF Michelin restaurants!
If you dont want too then go if you dont like it then just leave bro

Worst. Satirical. Video. Ever.
Rip
From 0:08 "im a queen" to 0:10 "where are all the good men at" 😂.
Beautiful photography and nice explanations. However, I would love the same justice to be given to the cocktails with a list of ingredients and your description of your flavor experience, especially since they are a highlight of this video and in the title, no😉
That's a great suggestion, thank you. We'll continue to get better as we go! In the meantime, we'll put an ingredient list for the cocktails in the video description for those who are interested.
@@soundbitestudios Ah, I didn’t see that stuff in the description😂 But yes, I still think diving into those details in the video itself would definitely add a lot to it. But anyway, your channel is cool, I’m already a subscriber and I look forward to more content!
This might be the top of the list of restaurants to try out of all of your reviewed restaurants.
It's a good one. If you end up going, let me know what you think!
Where are you based in?
No share, better
“subscribe for less content” shi got my ahh laugjin
Glad you appreciate the dry humor 😉
Wanted to go for a while but I really can't see it being worth the hype and price. $170 for 5 course is up there with the worlds best tasting menus, and this isn't one of those
How does one person eat all that?
We had some help!
If you return, go to the butcher shop in front and get some of the house made Duck Speck to take home. It is DELICIOUS!
We may have do a part 2!
Yes, the bread is to die for. But no surprise that it comes from a very famous bakery in SF
Agreed!
Beautiful. I really appreciate getting earnest inside scoops on Michelin restaurants that you offer. Thanks for your work.
It's our absolute pleasure! Thanks for the nice comment!
Butt hole food in butt hole America.
2 weeks later and it lost its star
They say keeping the star is half the battle!
Will definitely not try the original tapioca mochi. Thanks!
That's what we definitely recommend you do.
Nice channel, great shots of the food, I like how you take the time to label and point out the components of the dish. Also your descriptions are great as well, spoken nice and clear, short, but informative and to the point. I like how you make it all about the food as well, some of these channels of a similar vain tend to be long and drawn out and make it more about their facial reactions and over describe what they think of things and that kind of stuff doesn't always come off sincere, not to mention repetitive and feels like it's less about the food and more about the eater. I feel like you honor the food more with your channel's style, you provide just enough information to make it worthwhile and makes you look forward to the next video. Really nice job, keep up the great work and I wish your channel the best, easily one of the better ones in what often feels like a crowded genre.
What an incredibly thoughtful comment and captures exactly the spirit of what we're trying to do on this channel. Stick around, many more to come!
Veryy cool. Not overcomplicated and seems tasty. How much did you pay?
Great question, and the answer is it depends on what you order, in particular if you participate in any drink pairings that are being offered. We'll include a link to restaurant websites in video descriptions going forward.
How about adding an address , phone number and prices?
Good question! We'll include a link to restaurant websites in video descriptions going forward.
This video randomly showed up on my feed, and I'm glad I clicked it. I really enjoyed this video. Keep it up!
We're glad you're here. More to come!

Thanks for the like!
What a great channel, keep up the good work!
Thank you! More to come!
That looks beautiful!!! You know, sometimes in life you just want to indulge in the classics, no frills cooking with easy flavors that work to give you joy rather than challenge you with something modern and technical. While I might have preferred a more refined presentation, the dishes still looked very tasty and I liked the eclectic wine selection (plus some tasty-looking mocktails for those who don’t drink). Very nice video with excellent camera work!!!
Sometimes its great to just go back to the basics. Glad you enjoyed the video!
solid video
Thanks for watching!
Sounds like way too much food.
It was an immense amount of food. We were happy to endure it for the sake of the viewers!
Great video! How was the drink pairing? Worth it?
Yes, one of the better drink pairings I've experienced. And if you're not into wine pairings, their non-alcoholic pairing is also superb!
Great videos of local Bay Area spots. Keep them coming!
Thanks for the nice comment, plenty more to come!
Sometimes I get recommended videos with a few views and 100 subscribers and they're just awful. Bad audio, shitty recording and I expected more of the same when I for some reason clicked this. This video was really good and well made though. Gj dude. I subscribed.
Thank you so much for the nice words, that means a lot. Will keep it going!
at some point this IS gonna make people not wanna go there
Definitely going for the dry humor here. Thanks for watching!
SSAL is great, but the magic of that bread is entirely the work of Arsicault Bakery. Easily one of the top 3 bakeries in the world.
Arsicault is indeed amazing!
awesome, have been wanting to go to SSAL for a long time! looked amazing
you should! if you make a visit, definitely let me know what you think!
looks great
Thanks for watching!
Great video! You are severely underrated. How do you figure out what restaurants you go to?
Thank you! Our focus is on fine dining. My research starts with Michelin-starred restaurants but I may visit a place that is otherwise interesting or unique.
@@soundbitestudios Ah thank you very much.
Looked great!

Spicy is a core flavor - but since there is always room to improve, it’s ok
Agreed.
