Growing up, Hainanese Chicken Rice was more than just a meal in our home-it was a tradition. My mum always insisted that the chilli sauce was the soul of the dish. She had a special recipe, perfected over the years, and it became a family treasure.
Recently, I uploaded a video on how to make Hainanese Chicken Rice, but guess what? My mum called me right after and said, “Where’s the chilli sauce? You can’t serve Chicken Rice without it!” She was right, of course. The chilli sauce ties everything together: the tender chicken, the fragrant rice, and the umami-packed soy sauce.
So, here it is-my mum’s precious chilli sauce recipe. It’s spicy, tangy, garlicky, and has just the right amount of kick. Every bite will remind you of authentic Malaysian flavors.     Cinnamon Bread Rolls recipe Ingredients For the Dough: • 250 ml (1 cup) warm milk • 7 g (2 tsp) instant yeast • 50 g (1/4 cup) granulated sugar • 1 large egg • 60 g (1/4 cup) unsalted butter, softened • 1/2 tsp salt • 400 g (3 1/4 cups) all-purpose flour For the Filling: • 60 g (1/4 cup) unsalted butter, softened • 100 g (1/2 cup) light brown sugar • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon • 1/2 tsp ground cardamom Instructions 1. Prepare the Dough: 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let sit for 5 minutes until frothy. 2. Add the egg, softened butter, and salt. Mix until combined. 3. Gradually add flour, mixing until a sticky dough forms. 4.
