This song has travelled with me to so many places gaining more pertinence with each rendition and new experience. Tamsin Solanum and I recorded it as part of our 'From the Coop' documentary back in April before the rescue chickens had grown their feathers back. I hope you enjoy it. Two self penned tunes on the English concertina, filmed at night in 'The Glade'. The concertina is a Wheatstone ET from 1880, with handmade Lignum Vitae raised ends. So Lovely! ❤
Amazingly done. Would love to give this a go on my Morse baritone, is there sheet music anywhere or did you just play it by ear?
Beautiful Arrangement
Thankyou
Wheatstone ET from 1880 - is that an extended tenor? What is the lowest note? How many buttons and range?
HI. It's extended treble. So starting at the standard treble range on the bottom (G) and going for whole octaves to a high G. These were made to represent the full range of a violin. The top notes don't get used so much
This is wonderful. Thank you for sharing your gift, Sid. What is the tuning of your instrument on this piece?
Hi there thanks for your comment. The instrument is tuned DGDAD with octave strings on the lowest two pairs.
Pretty sure that's AI generated, look at this headstock... All jokes aside beautifully performed and gorgeous music ❤
Just beautiful
Extraordinary! Thank you!
Lovely music, Sid - thanks.
That's just wonderful. It makes me... float. Thanks everyone.
Mesmerizing!!
Phenomenal. By whom was that instrument made?
Many thanks. It’s a Nordic Mandola made by Roger Bucknall at Fylde guitars.
Beautiful tunes; beautiful playing; lovely video
Beautiful version. Thanks for this.
Nice. This sounds very like "Green Fields of America"
What kind of mic are you using?
Hi. It's an audio technica ATM350 but mixed about 50/50 with the DI (KandK).
C'est absolument magnifique! Bravo à vous!
Merci Beaucoup
Wow! What a low-end this thing has! Awesome song! Thanks so much! 🙏
Superb playing!
Really incredible! I play a octave Mandola.
simple but beautiful tune, very inspiring! makes me want to pick up my celtic bouzouki again....
Очень красиво! Спасибо!

Love both the compositions and the playing. Beautiful video too. Very curious as to what sort of reeds your concertina has. Brass or steel? Nice growly sound.
Hi Christopher thanks very much. It's an 1881 Wheatstone with steel reeds and a dear old friend.
Beautiful. Thank you 😊
Beautiful version, thanks Sid. X
Just beautiful. Thank you for recording this, Sid!
BRAVO!!!!
🙏Many thanks Andy
Fantastic.
gorgeous set 🌺
Many thanks 🌱🌿
Both the sound and the playing are absolutely top notch. Is this concertina a refurbished antique one? I recently started to play a Lachenal Maccan duet that I bought from Barleycorn Concertinas. It’s a world on it’s own. Pocket pleasure, these little jewels 😊.
What a beautiful tune, will you be publishing the score?
Hi Kim thanks very much. I've never actually written it down but I'll look into it. All the very best.
Links to the scores are now in the video description. Enjoy
@@SidGoldsmith Thank you so much Sid, I will treasure it....

glorious buddy.

Ahhh.. just read that these are self-penned. I amend my “lovely” to “astounding”!
Lovely.
Boom banger!
