South Georgia fishing from rivers, ponds, coastal waters and the Okefenokee swamp. Not a pro, never will be but really enjoy the outdoors, jeeping, hiking and fishing for relaxation. I’ll even add many other events as I share my life.
Day Trip Series: Fort King George
I’ve decided to do a few videos of our day trips. This park is about a two & a half hour drive from home and is located on Georgia’s southeastern coast. This was my first visit to this particular fort.

I recently leased a slip at the marina at Lake Blackshear. Figured it would be easier than pulling it back and to. Needed to repair a few things first. It’ll give me a chance to paint and recondition the trailer also.

It was far more beautiful than the camera captured. The entire skyline was amazing with the heat lightning too.

@@melissa57 it’s not that tall but the view is amazing. The 3/4 mile boardwalk is lined by alligators, snakes and other wildlife. Just the walk is worth it!

@@melissa57 It does but the Agrirama is much more extensive. It’s been a long time since I’ve been there other than the Halloween event last year. Sounds like a great Day Trip!

Thank you! I think the repairs is half the fun, lol. Definitely love our pontoon when we have family together. It’s hard to put many people on my bass boat 😂. We certainly enjoy it.

We do have a shortage of waterfalls around here. Plenty in northern Georgia but that’s a 250 mile drive one way and right now I limited to day trips. I’ll get back to long distance traveling one day. For now I’ll continue exploring the lower half of the state. Thanks for watching!

They were under two concrete planters. I moved them to the same environment on my property near the wetland. Same soil type and conditions I found them in.
