Lazy day ride through Nassau's Harbour. Rambo 27
just discovered your videos while i’m working on restoring a 15ft whaler in the bahamas! any new updates coming?
Hey um glade you did make sure you subscribe nah. Yes I do have some content recorded just haven't been able to edit it. I also have some more videos planned for the future. I work has been demanding lately hopefully by next month I'll begin posting again.
Nice vid man, what island you're on?
Nassau, I wish I was in Eleuthra tho.
@@7isles242 okay man you're doing a good job
Much faster and easier ways to fill system and get air out then this! SORRY, but this is nothing but a time consuming waste of customers money!! He says 30-40 minutes, after I get the IV bottle set up, 10 minutes tops to bleed the system. Why make a loop in the system and put the air back on other side. And turning fast you can introduce air.
I am sure there are much faster ways , there are always more than one way to fix a problem . I may have not explain it well in the video , however the tool creates a loop in the system that allows all of the air to travel through the system and exit through the whole in the bottle.I spun the wheel fast because I was being greedy and wanted to get all of the small bubbles they only seem to move when you speed up or change direction. The only thing time consuming was setting up the camera to record and make sure it kept recording. If had help this day there would be no need to hang the bottle and probably could have cut my time in half. The goal was, to not call or pay someone else to do it.
I know you can walk to junkanoo beach from the port..and it was free is this the same area?
Yes, Junkanoo Beach is just a few steps to the right of where I shot the clip.
@7isles242 OK thanks ..probably not worth buying the excursion then if you can just walk to it
Yup walking there from the port is totally fine. They are pretty close.
Keep up the good work with the videos new subscriber!
Your subscription is my motivation. Thanks alot.
Merci beaucoup ❤❤❤❤❤
Will we get to see a video of the test run of the engine?
Without a doubt.

That’s a lot of work dehooking
Thats fine..in order to dehook you first must have caught the fish.

Should definitely come Eleuthera, I could get us on the water
Decided to drill out the broken bolts. - ua-cam.com/video/v8BM1m_V32A/v-deo.html
Do you have any video of the beach area with the lounge chairs at Arawak Cay?
I believe that area is called Junkanoo Beach...sorry I don't.
Way to get that upper body workout😂
Try a 50/50 mix of acetone and ATF as a penetrant. It's more effective than commercial penetrating oils.
In these situations I've had a lot of success using a stud remover on an impact driver. You could MIG weld a nut on as also but there as appears to be enough exposure for a stud remover. I would heat up the area first then spray water on the stud and ever so slightly tighten it before loosening. From there... very small turn to loosen followed by half as much to tighten. Once you've turned it out a few full turns, soak it with the lube of your choice and continue as above. Almost the same way you would use a tap/die. This takes awhile but works very well. Smacking the stud with an air impact first might help also. Turning out hard with wrench or ratchet will break it every time. Good luck! Don't scrap it because of broken bolts!!
Thanks for the suggestion..I have enough broken bolts to give it a try atleast once. I'll be hitting the local shops here soon to see what I can get my hands on.
@@7isles242 I can't speak for other stud removers but mine was under 50 bucks and I believe is made by Titan. I've also used a few others but the grip on this one and strength when needing to use with air impacts works well for me. 👍
drill them and put a helicoil on them. I went through the same issue. the bottom ones are the worst because you cant get a drill down there. I ended up making an aluminum bar across bolted on both ends in order to create even pressure to hold the gasket in. There is an RTV specifically formulated for water pump and thermostats. Use that one. good luck!! Don't give up on that old motor
Ahh...this why I come to you guys. I was actually thinking of drilling through the cowling and jus repairing it after. I don't want to pull the power head um sure those old bolts will break too. The aluminum idea is Awesome!! will definitely keep that in mind.
@@7isles242 yes, it worked for me. Drilling through the lower cowling works too. I thought about it but I ended up doing that. I also wanted to add I used the gasket and the RTV as insurance. Definitely salvageable 👍🏽
I’m thinking option 3 is the move.
Seems like the best bet ...at the moment.
Make sure option c doesn't leave you stranded!
It shouldn't be any worse , it should just leak like it does now ..lol
Nice job! Thanks for sharing.
Your favorite chicken place🤦🏾♀️
What size wire did you use to connect the positive and negative
Hey, I used 12 awg to connect the positive and negative.
Dude, the hole in the bottle was the key! nobody else mentioned that, worked like a charm👍
Glade to hear it.
Good work
Thanks
My connector tube was cheap no fitting so didn’t work. Thank you for posting this it looks a lot better. Than what I had
😁 Yea I am afraid of wasting my very precious time on cheap stuff ... that's why I usually stick to to name brands I have tested and spend the few extra bucks.
@@7isles242 tube came with my boat a Parker 21se, lol I went back and forth and pressure broke the connected and hydraulic fluid everywhere lol
@@DLeopoldi914 Oh! that must have suck...and its kinda hard to get off old gel coat. Love the parkers also.

LOL thats when I Bought my whaler , IT was the beginning OF Covid when they shut down all the beaches and I said there's no way they are going to Stop my from Surfing waves because I already got in trouble and fined by the Police for surfing ! total bull crap Thats when I said I need a Boat !!! .. and what did I know Boats where going like hot cakes !!! Everyone who had a boat was selling them well over priced because a new Demand for boats was up .. Uhhhh a boat that would be 1,000 bucks now was worth 3500 with work needed to be done lol ... I missed out on 5 Boston whalers with sellers not keeping their word and just selling them to who ever showed up First .. many times I showed up to buyers and the boat was already rolling down the road ! so frustrating but by the 6th whaler I went it was down pouring rain and I still went I wasn't going to miss out on another Whaler lol .. and Finally I bought my FIRST BOSTON WHALER ! lol 😂 ITs 2023 and Whaler will be done this summer that now I have settle in at my new home so the boat will be coming home soon ..
Wow I went through the same thing looking for a whaler up and down with sellers. I ended up with a steal it jus required a good bit of work.
@@7isles242 OH WOW ! thats nuts Too!! I thought it was just a local thing but I guess not lol ..
@@chasingwaves11 Just went through your channel and videos... I watched your full whaler series when you uploaded them. I subbed your channel.
Oh noway thanks man ! Much appreciated 🙏🏽🙏🏽
nice !! I’m still trying to finish my whaler its been a few years lol but it will be coming back to my new home soon ! I can’t wait .. SUB the Channel 🤙🏽

Please use dust mask when fiberglass dust is created
Hey , Yes I do now. Thanks for the suggestion.
Nice. I lve been working on restoring a 13 for the past 8 yrs…yes, 8 yrs. Bought ti when my first daughter was born but family life really takes up a lot of ti e so its been a slow process but Im almost there. Keep it up! 👍🏽
Bro tell me about it. I bought the whaler months before my second son was born. When he came I had no life and no time. He is 3 now and a bit more independent. So I am tryna get this done....thanks for sharing with me.
Bummed that you lost the video but excited to see this update. Steady progress. Looking forward to more!!
I should be able to pump out a few whaler videos. Shortly.
Go back to that stern crack now with fiberglass. You'll be pissed you didn't do it now. Keep it u, good to watch. What motor is going on it?
Yea. I said the same thing while editing I probably will go back to it and do it right one time. I am thinking of putting a 4 stroke yamaha 60 or 70 on it.
@@7isles242 Good idea. The Yamaha F70 is supposed to be perfect. See FasseCo videos about all his Whaler rebuilds. ua-cam.com/video/czP-it1WyKo/v-deo.html - His rebuilds are incredible and he exclusively uses the F70 and PowerTech SCD props. I have an ‘85 with the original Johnson 70 so still old school. No issues with the hull, just refinished all the mahogany. These boats rule and you’ll have such a good time with it when done.
@@gbass7328 I have been watching @FasseCo for years, Love their work. What they do I can't match. I been watching whalers on youtube for long time to and bought the first one that I can find for sale.I won't do a one to one restoration, ill Bahamianize it a bit and make sure it nice.
@@gbass7328 It was a work boat before I got it so it was in really bad shape, you will see what I mean when I get to the bow. So many repairs and missing shape on the hull. I would love to see your boat mayne if u dont mind sending picture my email is in the channels bio if not that fine too.
@@7isles242 👍🏼
Really great work! I will watch more. In the mean time, you may enjoy what this guy did to his transom for a full repair. Very cool to see the inside of it. ua-cam.com/video/19I5jfGKCFM/v-deo.html & ua-cam.com/video/yspUgeTXeEo/v-deo.html
