Hi my name is Jason. I purchased my property and first home in 2008, I took advantage of the housing market crash and got an amazing deal. The property is a little over 1/2 acer and split into 2 parts by a fence. I absolutely loved this as I could use the upper half to scratch my gardening itch and the lower half for the urban farm I always wanted. For several years we grew just about everything you could think of from corn to strawberries, tomatoes, artichoke, fruit trees exc exc exc. I always had a lot of fun, worked hard and struggled to keep everything alive as while I would grow it every year I never actually learned how so when things would go wrong I had no clue, still don't. Things however change, now are urban farm is a fraction of the size and we have dedicated a lot of land to just living and my new crutch........ tropical plants. I hope you join me on this journey of life.

I bought the same caliper and quite frankly it is a piece of shit. That dammed thing malfunctions on the lcd display. I threw it in the garbage
think l would have put a v cut on the under side 1st
For sure there are a hundred things I wish I had tried first but now it is to late for them lol. Thanks for watching.
I had the same experience, it reflected off my glasses. Not sure what the use case is for this headband.
Red Max has a similar string trimmer just like Husqvarna
looks like you watered the yard before cutting wet grass just clumps gas will do the same
Have had one for 3 years. Have beat the crap out of it and it still works (mostly from dropping it or the mag not holding). Good battery life. Only use a phone charger and it takes a few hours to full charge. Don't know if it would stand a faster charger, don't have one. The magnet could be stronger. I would say the 400 lumin rating is pretty accurate. Most of the odd name chinese crap on Amazon etc. make all kinds of false claims on lumens . But this little guy is pretty bright. Thumbs up from me :)
Yeh, mine was great but unfortunately I ran it over pulling a tractor out of my shop. Thanks for watching
@@jason-white 😆😆Guess you found it's limit !
? How has this compressor held up for you?
So far so good, honestly I have hardly used it at all though, I have a smaller quieter one I use daily but when I need a little more power I plug this one in and so far it's still like new. Thanks for watching
What's the 1 Year Review? What have you learned about it?
I have the same stove here in western central Michigan. I burn well seasoned white and red oak. We are on our third year of burning. Have inspected pipe. Have not swept it. Just white very fine ash. I have vaccumned out the cats twice. This stove burns soo efficient. It does not leave and thick creosote. Its crazy.
Yeh I think this is my 4th year with it, it's never "needed" the pipe cleaned but I do it every year just for GP Unfortunately this stove is just to big for my house, this morning I had the doors and windows opened, fans on and the Livingroom was still 87F. Thanks for watching
Lol we have the same problem. 800 sq ft open floor space. I turn my fan on, located in basement. Keeps it 62 down there with around 75 up stairs. Next year I'm going too sweep it regardless. Cause I was also told. Do not scratch that stainless steel flew. Build up will start ounce scratched. We primarily burn on the weekends too supplement our lp gas furnace. I use 35% less propane a year. Just burning on weekends. Have a fire going now. About to head out hunting. Cheers and thanks for the video. I will reference this when I sweep in the spring.
@RossMello-w5d We use this 100% for heat, have not used gas once since we got it. I use an 8" nylon brush as to not mess up the ss liner. Good luck hunting.
After using the first time I drained the moisture out and closed it back and it leaks bad . Won’t build any pressure at all . I even tried vice grips instead of finger tight and it still blows air out of the hole on bottom
I have two dividers in my bag and i fell in love with it after that
Less headache as far as battery power tools I meant
For sure considering to buy this combo kit next spring at Lowe’s, i also agree bout 2stroke weed-eaters and blowers, I’ve owned a few gas weed eaters and blowers for the last 10yrs or so. So I’m definitely looking into the battery 20v weed eater and blower, they’re very lightweight but I’ve heard they still have some good power and performance. The battery powered weed eater and blower are less maintenance vs gas, I’m sick of current maintenance I’ve used up on my gas power tools in the past. Less of a headache thankfully
I would say if you have a small yard, they are great, the performance of the blower all around is better than I expected, the weedeater however is pretty underpowered but like I said, for a small lawn it will work just fine, I have since moved to the Ego platform, it has 100 times the performance of Craftsman but also costs considerably more for example, My Ego mower was $800 where the Crafstman was about $350 Thanks for watching
Jason, I bought this chainsaw 6 months ago. It seems like its cutting in reverse. I have a Craftsman pole saw that I used to verify the chain is on properly, there is oil in the reservoir, but it spits out all over the place when I am running the saw. Any initial thoughts ?
Still willing not start
Thanks for the review!
You know you should use an Allen wrench to remove the blade. Don’t use channel locks.
this is good for running (without glasses)
100% way to much reflection with glasses
What was the mower doing? My mower keeps flashing red and shutting off randomly even tho the battery shows green
Mine would just randomly shut off with no lights or anything, I could restart it right away and sometimes it would shut off seconds later or 30 minutes later, It was super random. Did you check that the underside of the deck was not plugged up with clippings? My experience with EGO customer service has been terrible but you may have no other choice than to send them a message. Thanks for watching
Your chain must have gotten dull. It was taking an awfully long time to get through those little branches at the end of the video. NOW I've gotten to the end of the video; and YES! Your chain needs a file! The saw is covered in 'dust'. If the chain was sharp; it would have 'chips' on it.
For sure it needs a file. Thanks for watching.
I just bought mine and I can't get the power to start after charging the battery.
Did you make sure the battery is all the way in? I know it sounds dumb but I have a few Craftsman tools that are a little stubborn that way.
My EGO polesaw doesn't leak either.
I agree. Four inches does make a difference. That's why I put a 24" bar on my CSX5007!
What part number bar and chain did you use? EGO is telling me there is no way to put a 24" bar on my saw.
It would be easiest for you to check @reusefull's UA-cam pages regarding this conversion. Use the proper search criteria in UA-cam, and all the pages will show up. If you're still having difficulty; I will see if I can find the pages and send you the links. The bar is a Husqvarna one. The tension holes don't quite line up, but the holes are larger diameter in the Husqvarna bar, so you can make it work. I think there's a total of four videos rather necessary to get all the details. Keep in touch and let me know of your progress. P.S. The Husqvarna bar calls for an 84 drive links chain. And that's what fits this conversion. P.P.S. It is necessary to change the rim sprocket from .325 to 3/8, NOT low profile. There are a few hassles, but as far as I'm concerned; worth the trouble.
@@John-cj3ve WOW seems like a lot involved, I definitely need a bigger bar but maybe I will wait until I wear out this one.
It DOES seem daunting. But with @reusefull's help and guidance; there is really nothing to it. And like I said earlier; the CSX5000 easily pulls that 24" bar, and I suspect the CS2000 would be able to as well.
...correction: you STILL have to change the rim sprocket on the CS2000, because you need a 3/8, and the one that comes with the CS2000 is 3/8 low profile; which IS different.
Thank you! I just watched to see how assemble mine 😊
Wow..🖤
does anyone know where I can buy another of these? it seems to have been discontinued despite being the BEST EVER headlamp created :(
Yeh it's odd, it still shows for sale everywhere but no stock anywhere.
@@jason-white why would this headlamp, of all the headlamps on the market, be discontinued? it's the easiest charge w/ built-in plug, brightest and lasts the longest...
do you have ANY IDEA of any other model that's similar and still on the market? thanks in advance...
@@lindsayboykin Because it worked to good? If it works to good then it's bad business by modern standards. They need you to come back and buy another one sooner. Thanks for watching.
@@lindsayboykin No, I have tried a couple since but I have yet to find another good one.
Have you figured out a better way to sweep the chimney so that half the creosote doesn't fall onto the catalyst? I'm thinking remove the flue from the stop of the stove and put a bag at the bottom?
I've seen people do that but it seems like more work for nothing in my opinion.
@@jason-white Do you think there's any issues having all that junk from the flue piling on top of the catalyst? Even vacuuming it out I can't imagine you're getting it all out of the catalyst.
@@timdeschamps502 I wouldn't think so, You get most of it out and I have ben told it hits 1,200F so I'm sure that burns away what small amount is left. Our Stove was installed May 2020 and this is how it's been cleaned every year so far. I paid to have the installer do the first cleaning and show me how so I could do it from then on.
@@jason-white gotcha. Thank you for your replies and for this video. I have the same stove and will be cleaning it soon so get ready for this season.
I bought one for car detailing and it is not the right compressor for that purpose. It’s good if you want to pump up a tire or run a nail gun. But it is too weak to continually blow air.
Sounds like you have an air to league. So it's going to keep on running. It also seems kind of weird and it's running that long without filling off, so you may have to adjust the p. S I down to like fifty or something
What brand chimney brush are you using to clean it? And, ditto on the glass cleaning tips except I use newspaper lightly sprinkled in warm water dipped in ash, works like a charm!
This is the one I use Thanks for watching amzn.to/47kYZtw
You have an absolute unstable beast there. The 525L has got the power to cut down chest high weeds and grass. I've done it. Full throttle swipes at ground level and it's leveled just like that. The string I use is Husqvarna razor core .105. yeah it doesn't back down.
For sure, I use Husky line as well, this thing will take down a tree. Literally lol Thanks for watching
@@jason-white it was a pleasure. Thank you for sharing. I haven't put a blade on it yet but it is a beast. It clears anything green and growing quicker than a sharp machete in a jungle
Love it!
@@omarjimenez8895 Thank you
These are very good tools will last for many years
WOW $60 is a good deal they sell them at Lowe's for $89 plus tax so you are about $100 out the door . Where did you get yours ?
Mine was purchased at our local Lowes
Enough with the augments David...
Nice video. Craftsman and Troy bilt are both built by MTD and are not built for longevity. Especially the four strokes. I myself prefer the older Stihls.
The Troybilt one I had was not great at all, it was however early on in small 4 strokes. Thanks for watching
If you're gonna put a review on a product, how about actually using it So that when someone watches your review its actually worth the time you clearly do not use this product, because if you did, you would be discussing how this line sucks.
I do it just go give people like you something to complain about. Thanks for watching.
I couldn't disagree with you more on this product. I literally just bought it this week out the box The line is just garbage I've spent more time dealing with the line, then actually being able to use it., it jams It gets too hot and melts internally. It never feeds. I literally use it for 30 to 60 seconds, and I have to stop to restring the thing because it never Stays working, the line goes in and never comes out. I do not recommend this product to anyone
It must be defective, I would take it back and exchange it. My machine is a few years old now and the head that came on it still works perfectly.
I’ve been trying to install the handle but the clamp came off and won’t stay on when it’s screwed in. Any solutions? It’s driving me nuts
Wear a full face shield with this machine.
A shield should be worn with any machine.
This is the rockstar of trimmers❤
This has been the best, most powerful, most reliable machine I have ever run. Thanks for watching.
I bought one on April 3rd of this year and got maybe two or three hours out of it and something happened with the cable inside of the shaft because it won't spin any attachments
Send a support request to Craftsman, I have found their warranty to be top notch.
@@jason-white I'm sure it is but the warranty repair center is 5 weeks behind on doing repairs. I followed another repair video and it solved the problem for the time being. Least I can use it now :)
@@David-cy7qv I've never had them repair a tool. They alway just replace it.
I w😮sh the lighting was better. I’m having difficulties but I think something is wrong with mine. Time to check warranty. Thanks for your help.
Whats it doing? Thanks for watching
@@jason-white two things, when I push the safety it cuts without pulling the main trigger!!! The other thing, blade replacement pops the plastic red cover off and swings the blade off the teeth. It’s really messed up. My main use is cutting coconuts off the bract. But do use it for pruning branches.
@@terrimulroy8655 The first part is a deal breaker for me, if they safety is not functioning right get rid of it, These things can take your hand off in less than a second, don't risk it.
@@jason-white you’re right! The safety thing happened after the other thing, but yes, I mentioned it first because it is for me too.

Yes it can be, thanks for watching
@@jason-white Thanks for the help Jason. 👍🏿
Craftsman doesn't make anything they just put their name on it But since you said it favors your troy built and since Lowe's sales it im certain it is a troy built. I was gonna purchase one but after this video I'm not sure if I am now or not
$90 dollars on Amazon. Mine should be here Tuesday. Looking forward to adding it to my arsenal. Hard to beat Craftsman 20v tools in my book.

Thank you 💯👍🏾
You're welcome, thank you for watching
great video jason, question-is there a way to hook up the fan to the furnace when the furnace or AC is running, it turns the fan on too rather than running off a temperature so you know?
Gosh it's been so long I can't remember but I think the temp sensor was part of the thermostat I purchased for it, If I remember right the fan just ran on 120VAC so any 120 volt circuit should be able to run it just fine. Thanks for watching
