If everyone was rude to you that means you were rude to them. I’m in Paris right now and not one person has been rude if you yourself are polite. Streets are dirty? Honey, it’s a big city in Europe, they are usually a little gritty here and there. Some more that the others but Paris is by far not the dirtiest.

I’m French, I can confirm how it’s dirty af and how people are so freaking rude toward tourists or even certain religious people.

Currently backpacking through Europe and we’re in Paris. The only bad interaction was at our hotel whilst checking in the guy was rude to us for not knowing French (didnt know that was required to visit as the Spanish and the Portuguese were very understanding of language barriers).. but other than that everyone since has been friendly so it’s really just individuals like anywhere🫡

The civilians in Paris are generally very nice and empathetic. Sure their customs greatly differed from ours, but they never acted according to the horrendous stereotypes that unfamiliar folk depict them as.
