Hello, I've been getting back into watercolors since your last video. And I followed along with this one too. Though the results have not been graceful, I'm having fun. So thank you for helping me get back into it. I have a question for you: What are your thoughts on mixing on paper vs. mixing on palette? I know art is full of these antagonistic philosophies, but what's your take?

I'm coming out of burnout. I've been studying figure drawing in pencil for so long now. But this has inspired me. I'm going to get out my watercolors, choose a color, and not a care thing about what happens next.

I think I would have been more consistent with watercolor had I practiced on better paper. Painting on printer paper gives a lot of room for experimentation, but it also steals a lot of the joy, an essential part of the process. Do you think paper quality matters for these sorts of explorations?

In April poetry, I will write a poem a day, which is something I have done since 2010.

To the question of which I like best, I would go with #3 because of its mouroutai style. I think it has more character and individuality than the others.
