This isn’t a shoe review I want to know how does everyone everyone break in their shoes!? These are vans high tops old school shoe that everyone loves! I discovered later that my feet does not fit in these sizes which is 8.5 so I will be skating 9s now. I always put mine in the microwave as long as they didn’t have metal eyelets. I had to do that with my New Balance Tiago’s and it helped but I still can’t skate them as much as my Old Skools because they have too much arch support. Great Video !!

@@onichama9279 I’ve skated the 272’s and I enjoyed those they have a lot more of a wider area for your toes to move around from my experience but I like the way they feel. I want to try the 440’s soon but I would definitely recommend trying on New Balance when you get them because I’ve noticed a lot of them fit different compared to Vans or Nike Sb.
Vans are definitely shoes where I find my 11.5 feet feel to small in their 11.5s. Got one pair of 12s and they fit so much better for sure. But generally I think Vans kill my feet. They are too tight in the toe box. The 12s I brought with me on holiday and while they were bigger they still took me a few days of walking in them before they started to feel comfy. I like shoes where I don’t have to do that to any real extent. I don’t even really look at Vans shoes anymore because of all of that. Was real cool seeing the homies on the blades!
@@RikRiorik Dammit, this is exactly how I feel about them lol I thought I was honestly the only one thinking about it like that but I’m glad someone dealt with them the same way. Thank you so much for this, I think I’m still gonna try one size bigger and if it’s the same thing then it’ll be time to switch skate shoes. The homies on blades are always killing it!
@@onichama9279 I can recommend the Joslin cupsoles if you like something a bit wider and true size fitting. Not a stylish shoe but it’s terribly comfortable.

I’ve been riding a 7.75 since the 90’s when it was considered a big board. And I roll 59mm wheels, so much hate on one setup.

Had 8.5 - 32,6 board 18 years ago when no1 knew they were a thing lol Im 6.3, big feet and i didn't had a choice. 8.5 have advantages and disadvantages, depends what you want to skate and how.

Only the axle is titanium and last a bit longer that average axle.The hanger and rest of alloy is the same as stantard indys so The grinding area runs out the same as the other. To me the real issue is the plate that is thinner and more fragile.I had deformation of front truck holes.

It broke a record for the time of year or month I grew up there moved to Reno when I was 16 but I agree Vegas heat sucks but I remember days over 120 and I had to keep a sweater with me all summer when I first moved to Reno cause it drops to 70 & 60s at night that is winter weather in Vegas

9-10" wide board, 17-20" wheelbase, 65-70mm 77-80A wheels is the sweet spot recipe for falling in love with the asphalt pump track.
Right now I’m at 8.5 wide board, 52mm wheels and 8.0 inch truck. How does a 9-10 board feel??
@@onichama9279 You appreciate the width and especially the longer wheelbase when you get really moving. I street skate 8.25" 52mm but my pump track board is a 9.625", 19.25" wheel base longboard, 8.75 Indy's, 3/8" risers, 69mm 78A slalom wheels and it's so smooth and fast it can get scary, like speed wobbles if you don't tighten up the back truck fast. I spent a lot of time (and wasted way too much money) trying to figure out the golden ticket. Riding street wheels on a pump track was more like a job than fun but the right setup is like flying on a hoverboard. Hope you can catch a ride on a setup like that to check it out, it's amazing.
