Loved your review and I do agree that it needed some more “inconvenience” for the champions. Also some characters just felt unpolished to me, acting based on a single perspective and very narrow minded which was off putting I guess. Overall a nice read tho

Nice haul. Redwall was great! You’ve reminded me that I want to continue with that series. I also liked the Millenium trilogy. I favor the movie with Rooney Mara over Naomi Rapace but they were both good. Mara sticks the character of Salander better in my opinion. Never enough time for all the reads !

I finally watched all the LOTR movies and now I’m so intrigued to try out the books, bc I ended up really enjoying the world so much. Even named my new kitten after Sam!

I agree Joe Abercrombie's books are amazing. I'm surprised I paused reading them after just three (the ending is amazing there), but I should be getting back to them soonish. We both read Upgrade in July, but at least you have a physical copy. Peace!

oof, bless your for doing summer classes. I did them every year and yeah, you get through it fast, but you literally have no free time 💀Oof, Paper Towns was my least favorite of Green's stuff. I wouldn't really call in a romance either, haha. It's not so much heartbreaking, but still a bit sad. An abundance of Katherines is probably the next most romantic of his stuff after TFIOS.

Awesome HUAL! My understanding of the Empire of Silence has a few more books coming out. Book 4 was split because of COVID related production. So, the 5th book coming out is the end of book 4. Then the originally planned book 5 might have to be split into two as well.

The Hobbit is definitely a little more juvenile than the LOTRs books but absolutely important to read. I’m not sure how you feel about audiobooks but Andy Serkis just did narration for each of the books in the series and it’s very good.

"The Sword of Kaigen" has been on my TBR for quite a while too and I really hope I'll be able to pick it up soon. =) I watched all the movies and series of "Little Women" but I never read the book. I'll have to rectify that one day. *lol* Happy reading!
