Another clos up video of the fishes in action. They are only up close cause they think they are gonna get fed.
Just stop after 3 years
Same issue today. I tried a different antenna. I can see the satellites but non will lock in. Worked yesterday, not today.
Try what Mauro said in the comment below. Power the antenna separately
I add for all the solution (personally experienced this morning on a 2DIN Joying car radio): you have to connect the GPS antenna to the car radio, and power the antenna cable for about 30 seconds with the 5v voltage of a USB socket. After these 30 seconds the USB power supply can be removed, because the car radio will resume by itself to supply the GPS antenna stably. I used one of the two USB sockets on the device. Enjoy ....
Thanks for the info. I hope it helps other folks out there with this issue.
@@reklesboy350 I hope so too. At least in my case (no GPS signal detected after fw and MCU update) this trick was decisive
How can i power the antenna with usb?
How to Power the antena?
@@ricardoparadella5375 You need to strip the gps antenna cable and strip the shielding and the central pole, then you need to cut the end of a common usb cable, strip the sheath and connect the red wire (pin 1) to the central pole of the gps antenna and the black wire (pin 4) to the gps antenna shield. Now you have to connect both the gps antenna and the usb cable to the car radio and finally turn on the car radio. If you're lucky, after about 20 seconds the GPS signal will return to the car stereo. At this point you can disconnect the USB cable and insulate the shielding and the central pole of the GPS antenna cable. Enjoy!
i also face same problem in after market Android unit 9.0 , gps navigation not working , no active satellite signal received. i checked gps receiver antenna connect properly but this all math not working can anyone help me out.
Sorry to say besides getting another unit from a reputable company like pioneer etc its gonna end up with more problems with those android units
Did you solved it ?
It’s a dam tablet slapped onto a car
Zanimljivo...pogledajte da niste postavili gps antenu u konektor za wifi... Meni se to dva puta desilo, jednostavno greska
I have the exact same problem. Switched the GPS antenna. It first looked like it worked but it quickly failed again. I took the unit out, opened it up, with & without the GPS antenna connected and started the unit. When measuring the voltage between the GPS antenna solderpoints on the PCB, I measured something between 0.5 to 0.9 Volts, clearly out of the spec for the active GPS antenna to work properly (3-5 V). I guess, the GPS power supply on the radios MCU died. I am currently hesitating to either buy a completely different unit from a different brand or to add an external GPS amplifier in order to the GPS antenna externally.
In my personal opinion, I’d get a known aftermarket radio such as from pioneer, kenwood etc. or do what I did, have an ipad installed lol.
@Chris350 I fixed the problem today. As I expected, the powersupply for the antenna was broken. I have build a "Bias-Tee" and connected it between the antenna and the radio. Rf was feed through from the antenna to the radio via a coupling capacitor while the power has been delivered via an Rf choke to the antenna. I used the 5V of the USB on the radio itself to do that. Now my GPS works again. For anyone else with that kind of problem: Measure with a multimeter on the SMA connector of your Radios GPS. If you do not read anything between 3 to 5V, you are facing the same problem. In order to fix it, buy a GPS Bias-Tee. Those are common products and generally available for a few ten bucks.
Ah and yes of course: One better buys an after-market radio from a reputative brand rather than chinese clonse. Sad truth, even though the Joying units are not that bad. But if you face a problem, you are on your own. Their support sucks.
@@systemofapwne if i’d know about this many years ago I would of said they are good radios but being that customer supports answer is “20% discount on buying a new one”. I did get a replacement once, but like 30 days into owning the unit and there was a local supplier that i drove to. I had a bad buzzing noise from the pre-amp outputs.
@@systemofapwne hi, can you please help me make this tee thing? My unit is Dasaita and developed the same problem. Please.
Same problem. I think the GPS antenna sucks
Most joiying Android head unit has a gps problem
Same problem,in a car radio android 10"
Just pay the extra cash and get something better than these things man.
@@reklesboy350 only two solutions, first a tester and see the voltage, the correct is 3.1-3.3v dc,the radio android in on and open the gps tester, quit the antena gps, and pick in the gps in the middle of the external connection in the radio unit.No voltage, the problem is a interior wire,o component fired. You have a correct voltage change the antena.
Contact +1 914-902-7004 he helped me with mine, am so happy right now
Heloo everyone. I had the same problem as you and first stap was to tried several software variants without success . Last staps I decided to open my navigation and surprise, my cable GPS internal it was detached from the plate behind the screen . I solved this issues and finally the GPS work normally. I didn't know if you had the same problem, but it's worth a try.
Thanks for the info. It may help others but for my unit. It was still connected
No objet should interfer with the antenna ,or try to be ouside not into a garage or building ,or check the cable of the antenna if it well connected.
Dude I tried all that. Got new antenna too. Nothing worked. Junk junk junk
Just happened to me to try everything to fix it even new gps antenna no go
to be honest, these units are not worth it. they are cool in concept but their quality control is not good. I had my unit switched out after about 3 months due to noise issue and even after that it still. Do yourself a favor and spend the money on a quality head unit or do what I did, put in an ipad in the dash.
relocate antenna, or buy a better one
Crack War Vet i relocated the entire radio in the trash!
I have the same exact problem on mine... I hope you found a solution. Will be great of you let me know, buddy... Thanks
I found a solution... i got rid of it!
@@reklesboy350 how? can you please share it.. thanks a lot!
I changed gps antenna _ took about and hour good as new. Got antenna on eBay $10
I meant I got rid of the whole damn thing. I got a new car. Lol. These things are cheaply made. Their customer support only wants you to buy a new one.
Contact +1 914-902-7004 he helped me with mine, am so happy right now
any fix ?
Tecno Blanes nopee. The company does not want to repair it as its a unit they no longer support although its only a few years old. They want me to buy a new one and only giving me like 15% off a new one. I don’t think I will do that. I’m moving on from this. Getting something else.

$100 dollar stereo will always be too good to be true........
Prophet true! Its a piece of turd. The company only wants me to buy a new one! They can kiss my ass
Change gps antenna
Anton Tomovčík tried that. Still no good
i am having the same problem
Khalid Baloch its still dead. They want me to buy a new unit. Not doing that
I am having the same problem? Any update on if you fixed it ?
no, their is no fix. the company only wants to give a discount to buy a newer model. no way im going down this road.
Mine is a Isudar head unit, after 2 years Gps doesn't work anymore, i think they done it on purpose(programmed) to force you to buy a new one...money talks
have you reset the headunit back to factory to see if the issue is hardware or software?
Farjad Zaghi yes. A few times. No luck.
reset to fatory as in when you lose all apps and data right? settings> back up and reset> earase everything
Farjad Zaghi no, i didnt do it that way. I used the reset button on the front. I'll try this method and let u know
Farjad Zaghi did the reset, same issue. Stuck on auto detect GPS receiver
all your software and data was gone after the reset right? in that case, you need to check your firmware , make sure you have the latest ROM and MCU. if you do the only other solution would be a hardware repair by joying. If you do not have the latest ROM , download it and upgrade and test.
It seems to be an ongoing problem
I have the same issue, on a later model too
get rid of it.
The same issue on my Isudar head unit, after 2 years,i think they done on purpose to make us to buy a new head unit
Did you solved the probleme ? mine is same
Loic Fregeac no. I have to get the unit replaced. I contacted their customer service and they are going to replace it.
@@reklesboy350 🤦♂️
Azlan the unit is junk! Got rid of it and had an ipad installed.
@@reklesboy350 same goes to me..what a day
@@reklesboy350 I am having same problem, just paid 200 for installation and no satellite signals at all, did you fix it?
Boy ka help
i think its a good software. But ride runner is community based and has community support. i don't use it. i will tinker with it eventually.
BU353
yes it has been discontinued. But it's what I had at the time as of 2010. I still use it. Roads didn't much since 2010, at least in NYC. PC based maps for navigation as being discontinued by most maps manufacturers as the needs for them are few.
hasn't garmin mobile pc been discontinued. why would i want a bunch of obsolete maps?
the recently upgraded CF. i heard its faster.. I didn't try as of yet. but my PC has been upgraded to a dual core atom .. it works great
It was slow because the pc I was using was underrated in terms of processing power. Centrafuse 3.1 required at least a 1.6 ghz processor. Here I was using a 1ghz processor. Since then I upgraded my system and got a dual core atom rated at 1.66 ghz. And it works way better
BU 353 gps..I think
Hi, what gps module did you use for the gps?
