@@russpdx hello, you’re not joking. We went to a car wash and it took me a very long time just to get the first layer of dirt off of the outside and under the chassis. But it was sure worth it looking back and all the memories. We did a minor wipe down of the inside, but we have so much more to do. learned a lot along the way about areas. We need to tighten up and adjust some door locks in the storage compartment. Thanks for the great suggestion and thank you so much for taking time to check out our video.

@@MichaelAquilino-k1j Hello Michael, funny you say that, I stopped by a car wash to do my best to get the first round of dirt off and it was a chore. I opened up the compartment where the propane tanks are located and there was so much sand and dirt. Not to mention countless other areas, we haven’t even attended to yet. It would be a great video even if it was just a little 3 to 5 minute one. It did show me where I need to make adjustments on the cam locks for the compartment doors and test the seals because there was plenty of dirt that got into multiple places I would not have expected. We have a lot of fun creating these videos, meeting incredible people along the way, and learning as much as we can to share with others. To start, I want to say that the tire we and you choose for the Transit EKKO is, in my opinion, one of the best options out there. In our videos, you’ve probably seen us take these tires through just about every type of terrain imaginable-river rock beds, forest roads, unimproved and improved roads, highways, sand, snow, mud, and more. And through it all, the tires performed exceptionally well. By the time we sold the vehicle, we had put about 25,000 miles on them, and they still had plenty of tread left, looking far from ready for replacement. Regarding your question on tire, it really depends on the PSI you’re running. Most tire shops will fill them to 55 PSI in the the front and rear, which in the rear can cause the tires to touch and compress a bit. We found that 65 PSI was the sweet spot for us based on our travels and loads, allowing some flexibility as the tires heated up or cooled down. In one of our videos, you can actually see a clear line in the snow showing the tire’s path, which highlights the tread pattern and performance. For what it’s worth, Grant, at FreedomVanGo in Florida has put even more miles on these tires with their Transit EKKO, including towing a trailer, and they’ve had no issues. The tires work together rather than independently, so as long as they’re not in prolonged contact under low PSI (like running aired-down tires from the beach straight onto the highway), friction shouldn’t be an issue. Overall, we have nothing but positive experiences with these tires, and I think there are hundreds, if not thousands, of other owners out there who would say the same. It really depends on the size and what kind of hook up you will need. I would recommend giving them a call ahead of time because sometimes they have some specials running. Definitely recommend going. It is amazing and the pools are beyond belief.

Yes, it’s official: the door jambs, under the hood, and a few other spots are all white. When Winnebago purchased the chassis from Mercedes, they came in white, and then CDI in Forest City, Iowa, handled the exterior paint. Honestly, I barely notice it anymore, but I’ve got to admit, at first, it was a bit surprising!

We’ve had our eyes on the EKKO for about a year. Saw the Selenite & didn’t want to risk that color being unavailable. We’ve used the heck out of our Revel the last 5 years but tired of climbing over each other to get in bed & crawling on knees to get in fridge. Forest City is only 4 hrs from us. They finally gave us enough $$ for our Revel plus mods. We tried a few months ago but no-go. Danny has several questions for you about mods we plan on. We’ll FB message/call you, if that’s ok.
