There weren’t two versions. Jesus Christ man. The only thing different was the record sticker or label. The wax was all done at once. One pressing. Aka first pressing. 125 got web ent contact info labels. The other got retail labels without the web ent contact info. Thats it. Thats how it went down. Then there were tons of bootlegs and illegal dupes made. All with wrong color labels and record etchings. Then came the repress/remastering in 2020.

You’re completely wrong about the number of albums pressed. There were 250 1st pressings. 125 with web ent address and 125 without. The albums with the web ent info and contact was meant for radio stations and record labels. The other 125 without web ent contact info were meant for retail. That’s it 250. That’s it. The rest are bootlegs until the repress in 2020.

As a Eminem fan I can say this is his worst album by far...I mean the previews albums - Relapse,Recovery and MMLP2 were far better and his next albums Kamikaze and MTMB were also 5x times better

I find it interesting how they were able to release a clean version of Marshall Mathers LP the prior year and that too had a lot of profanity left on it yet Devil’s Night which also had a lot of profane words left on barely had any copies released. I also find it interesting the words that were kept on and off both versions. On MMLP they edited out the slurs, sexual and violent lyrics but allowed most other profane words other than the F bomb (such as the B word and S word) yet on Devil’s Night basically the exact opposite thing happened. Other than also censoring the sexual and violent lyrics the slurs were allowed but unlike MMLP the B word and S word were censored (along with the F bomb of course). Interesting that slurs were permitted but certain profane words were not. I find it hilarious though that on the clean version of The Eminem Show which released the year after Devil’s Night that one was *much* more heavily censored than what came before. The clean version of that one had basically no profanity allowed on it. PS Since this video, a UA-camr by the name of “DJRatAttack” uploaded the entirely of the clean version of Devil’s Night in May of 2022.

I just bought the Eminem show tie autograph last night on eBay . I’m usually scared to buy autographs off eBay but they had no negative reviews and like 600 sales so .

There were five samples in the song: ‘Bad Guy’ by Eminem (2013) ---------------------- 1. ‘Hocus Pocus’ by Walter Murphy (1974) (Which is the drum loop used throughout the first whole half of the song up until the “I also represent anyone on the deceiving end of those jokes you offend” part) ---------------------- 2. ‘Long Red (Live)’ by Mountain (1972) (Which are the distorted yelling vocals shouting: “Yeah!” looped throughout the first half of the song. (It’s al little hard to hear.) --------------------- 3. ‘Soana’ by Gian Piero Reverberi (1976) (The first 18 seconds of this track make up the main Orchestral beat used in the final verse.) ---------------------- 4. ‘You Are - I Am’ by Manfred Mann’s Earth Band (1979) (Which are the interpolated patterns of the orchestra strings on top of the Soana sample in the final verse.). ---------------------- 5. ‘Ode To Billie Joe’ by Lou Donaldson (1967) (Which is the drum beat looped throughout the final verse.)

Still to this day, I’ve never heard Eminem deliver a more epic, powerful and hype endusing rap verse than the one on the final verse of Bad Guy.
