hong lu doesnt have a poise ID or a tremor ID that works with either corrosion or awakening, a minus 5 offense level (lower clash power for every 3 difference in offense level) meanwhile 4th yi sang has good on hits and a good passive while also costing more common resources and not contesting for gloom like soda does. the only "bad" thing about 4th match is yi sang not having a dedicated burn ID. which is more likely to be released compared to a Poise + tremor Hong lu ID

always have respect for this one. when i was at canto III the team comp i used had NO gloom so this was my go-to hong lu ego (which tingtang *perfectly* fuels)

Easilly both the worst Hong Lu EGO(Which is hilarious since his only good EGO are both his Zayin and Dimension Shredder) and worst EGO overall Soup Sinclair is really bad but at least you can still use it in Focused encounter more consistently than Soda, and its still more healing than this garbage and you know, a more usefull Passive if you run N Sinclair which is the ID you would run it anyway alongside 9:2 4th Match Flame Yi Sang is also really bad, but at least the AOE is quite huge and Spicebush exist

Nothing can convince me this ego is worse than fucking soup for Sinclair

That -25 sp on hit was really useful in canto VI boss fights where enemies had sanity. Made the whole thing much more bearable for non sinking teams

i think its one of the best of the base, not having sanity cost is pretty good, the passive is not a niche nowadays, and it got atk weight which is pretty nice too, a fairly underrated EGO

For cantos, after don it probably is going to be Hong Lu, Ryoshu, Meursault, Outis, then Faust, as so far the canto order has been identical to the order in which the sinners introduced themselves during the prologue EDIT: I am assuming you’re doing the EGOs in canto order since that’s how it’s been so far, aside from when new EGOs release

Fluid Sac Don is deffinitly much stronger than people think, at least Raw Damage wise Overshadowed by Telepole and Faust's, but deffinitly not a EGO that should be slept on It and Effervescent Rodion are deffinitly friends on strong EGO's that are overshadowed by a different EGO Especially since Effervescent Rodion about to see play with Liu Rodion again on Ring Team of all places When Don is getting her Sinking ID, this EGO will see much more play than Telepole

I think you misunderstood what it meant by raising stagger threshold. It doesn't lower yours, it increases the hit enemy's threshold

I like the passive in theory but in practice it's so akward to use and it's not even because of it potentially stealing other scarce resources, but because of just how 8/80 it is. Like, if you want it from the start of the fight to generate lust resources, you're either in MD (where resource generation is usually not a problem) or using a team that's already lust heavy, in which case... what's the point? But like, the opposite is also true. If you bring it on a team with few lust skills, like charge teams or BL, which makes sense since lust fuels some of the strongest Ego in the game, you're very likelly to not use it early on, meaning it's not going to make nearly as much of a difference.

the passive pretty much just ruins the EGO, if not for it, then like, it would be kinda good, i don't think it is crazy, but without the passive it wouldn't matter if its mid or not since its not detrimental

We need more single sin EGOs for resonance purposes. Hex Nail Faust is the only good one

This EGO is deffinitly better when being used rather than the Passive that is.... honestly quite awful If the passive only took 2 of the highest owned Sin resource to Lust it would be less annoying, since god imagine losing all your Sloth, Gluttony, and Gloom resource in Envy and Blade Lineage Team 💀

this base EGO is not underrated coz it is well known for the insane healing, even if you're not running bleed to benefit much of the passive you're geting a lot of healing from it, besides its a pretty cheap ego to use, 2 lust, 2 pride. its one of the best base EGOs, which is a high bar since they are all pretty good, with the only exception as always being, branch of knowledge, which is unusable and ugly and stinky and gross and repulsive. one silly i can say about this ego is that no Don Id besides i think Cinq Don can self fuel it, because it uses pride and lust but that only matters if you want to use her solo, since its still a cheap one anyway

We have a very good idea she's the next sinner - it would basically go against all logic currently governing who's picked not to. The sinners cantos happen in order of prologue introductions as of now, with Don's being after heathcliffs. Also, for canto 7 to be named "The Dream ending", a very thematically relevant name to Don Quixote, alongside the heavy use of the idea of a dream in the story, makes it fit too well. Hope this helps you get why everyone says that!

The only Bleed ID Don has that can use this is Middle Don, which has problems since the only Lust Generator for Envy Team is either Hook and Tingtang Hong Lu or N Faust Technically N Don can use it, but shes better for Tremor(Because shes the few Tremor that can Clash high) and N Corp Team
