Its real!! In New Zealand! People pay $300 to see the village. They had to turn it into a paid attracrion due to people sneaking onto the peoples farms😆😅 My husband and I went last year for our honeymoon and one of the locals told us. It's fine leaving Tom Bombadil and Goldberry out of the movies. Tom Bombadil may have been a god, and in the books he kind goofs on the power of the One Ring by looking through it. The movie went to pains to create the One Ring as a powerful seductive character. To have it dissed by Tom Bombadil would take away some the ring's power. Didn't Peter Jackson say something to that effect?

Although I absolutely love Ian Holm as Bilbo and think he was the perfect cast, it just struck me Robin Williams would have made a great Bilbo. Or perhaps even better, a perfect Tom Bombasdil.
