What diameter is the thread in your reel;
I've caught an otter or mink on half a mackerel once but it let go, Cast out again within 10minns screamed off and done same

@@jmpikefishing3363 yeah man I suppose really if a pike or zander is going ro go for a dead bait or lure then mink or otter would do same, I've even often wondered when sea fishing aswel on a whole squid if when deals like reeling in carrier bag water or caught on to 1 there, where I've on east coast there hundreds seals and they can get pretty angry aswel I'd say a seal would do same but, I'm glad I see your clip very interesting I'll subscribe and check you out now again 👍 and my mate was same if we land this otter it's going to attack us mate that then luckily it spat out Mackrell

If fluoro has knicks and cuts , dont risk it , cut the frayed bit off and retye it. In uk best fluoro most people got is 100lb , that is alright for pike but you can get cut off from a slack take by a monster. 150lb best to use , way more tougher than 100lb. Hard to get in the uk, can get yozuri topknot 150lb fluoro if u have a look online, heafty delivery fee but worth it

@@jmpikefishing3363 imagine that 🤣🤣 sounds good on paper lol, I worked in a wildlife rescue place a while back they had Polecats and Ferrets , a right handful they have a nasty bite 🤣🤣 nobody would go into that enclosure 👀 I can imagine handling an Otter with a hook in it in a net would be like putting your hands in a blender 🤣🤣 👍🏻
