Depends what you mean by darkness Darkness can mean you are ignorant to something and you need growth and to be led by the Holy Spirit to gain the understanding that will set your free Or you can be in darkness of sin: and sin is missing the mark meaning you are not in God’s will for your life Hope that answers your question 🩷 God bless
Also I wouldn’t say you can’t believe in Jesus while in darkness - bc what could be happening is you desire to know Christ but not know how to get out of darkness ❣️
