  • @Alma-1000
    @Alma-1000 День тому

    ¿Por qué debería ganar Emilia Perez? Es sencillo responder. Porque mientras las otras películas nominadas, sin dejar de reconocer sus cualidades, ya se han visto en el pasado, y honestamente no hacen evolucionar el cine, no van más allá. Emilia Pérez sí. Emilia posee la idiosincrasia, la audacia, la pasión y la trascendencia de las obras de culto, de autor, de las obras de arte que no mueren! Y eso me lleva a David Lynch fallecido hace muy poco y uno de los mayores genios del cine, con obras culminantes del séptimo arte como Mulholland Drive (hoy considerada una de las mejores películas de la historia del cine, y que muchos no entendieron precisamente porque no es fácil, sólo fue nominada a mejor director por esta obra en los Oscars y no la ganó, siendo una de las tantas injusticias de estos premios, como que Stanley Kubrick jamás obtuvo un oscar). Emilia Perez es la oportunidad de premiar una obra maestra del cine actual, por sobre el cine normativo, básico, lineal, que incluso se sienten telefilmes con presupuesto, y que casi siempre terminan premiando (ejemplo: “El discurso del rey” una película lineal, ganó a una de las obras más poderosas y genuinas del cine reciente como Cisne Negro de Darren Aronovsky, y como esta tantos maltratos a la genialidad). El filme de Jacques Audiard es único, con un guión extraordinario, audaz, emocional, una película sin miedo, con arrojo, que a peligro de morir en el intento, logra mezclar una especia de ópera pop (no es un musical al uso) con la oscuridad del thriller, la frescura de la comedia y la profundidad del drama. Yo lloré con ella como hacía tiempo no lloraba con una película, y no tengo nada que ver con la transexualidad, pero Emilia va más allá de esto, va de cómo una persona atraviesa su oscuridad en un escenario atroz donde él es el jefe perpetuador para encontrarse con su propia luz. Y la película no da respuestas, sólo plantea preguntas. Una película casi íntegra en español vista por un público popular anglosajón no acostumbrado a ver películas de habla no inglesa con subtítulos y tampoco acostumbrado a un cine más autoral, arriesgado y emocional puede no entenderse, pero las obras únicas no las entiende todo el mundo. Saludos.

    Mariia, I can tell you why the character of Sue, while so perfect, flawless, and stunning, was also somehow, "off". Another reviewer felt the same. She described Sue as being somewhat sinister. What got me thinking about who and what Sue really was when one of hundreds of YT posters wrote that Sue was a, 'beautiful monster'. I didn't quite agree, but he was on the right track. What people discern but somehow can't put into words is that to begin with, Sue was NOT human. Sue was a replicant, just like those out of the 1982 science fiction classic, "Blade Runner". That is why you thought Sue seemed cold because she didn't exhibit the true, natural range of human emotions. In fact Sue would later demonstrate her overriding instinct was self-preservation, almost animalistic. Movie-watchers miss the signs of the replicant Sue unless you watch the movie perhaps twice and watch all the YT reviewers talk about Sue and show scenes of her. It becomes obvious and evident as the movie moves along that Sue possesses supra-normal human abilities and capabilities. Sue shows super-intelligence, super-strength, and super-stamina. She exhibits all three when constructing the bathroom hidden room and door, without prior construction technical training, the strength to assemble it all and lift the secret door onto its hinges by herself. She worked non-stop for several days to complete the project before her 7 days were up. We know this from neighbor, Oliver, who complains about not sleeping for three days. I would not be surprised if Sue possessed supra-eyesight and supra-hearing. It seems that Sue was 'born' with pre-programmed knowledge how to complete The Substance procedures. As one female reviewer commented, "That was not intuitive. I would not have known what to do". Indeed. But Sue inexplicably knew. No gave it a second thought that Sue had the strength to literally push and throw the young man onto the couch so she could mount him. How many young women can actually do that to a man? Then of course it becomes obvious at the traumatic scene where Sue beats the decayed, decrepit Elisabeth to death that one's prior unsettling gut feelings about Sue become reality. She's somehow super-strong and several YT movie interviewers remark upon this without really thinking further about it. The scene is preceded by the animalistic rage Sue flies into when she sees the termination syringe and realizes her life was put at risk. We then see the true, non-human, quasi-animalistic programming of replicant Sue. Nonetheless, Sue kept her super-human abilities discrete. Those abilities were not directly requisite for her programmed function, to become the actual replacement for Elisabeth, not her complement. Sue needed to exhibit ultra-femininity and calculated beauty and charisma to achieve the purpose mission of her replicant existence, the replacement of Elisabeth. The Substance could create a beautiful, pre-programmed replicant out of Elisabeth's body but the formula could not replicate humanity nor could it give Sue a soul. In the final analysis, Sue was MORE than a woman, and LESS. I could call myself superstitious for thinking the only possible super-intelligence behind the creation of the diabolical, ultra-advanced, DNA recombinant replication serum had to be the devil himself, as no payment was asked of the requestors, only their souls. How else would the name SUE derive from, SU-I-cide.

    Thank you. The movie portrays the pain that the girl has experienced during her 23 by the script. It's always a sad to realize, that a simple life concept or even obviousness for someone can be really pricey as main character showed. I would definitely name the main character of `Anora` like kind of `Disney princess in nowadays`, What are your thoughts about, huh? And yes, some truths sometimes are expensive, but experience is experience, move on and use it. Sean and His team created such an amazing story We are witnessing, that is capable of generating stunning emotions. especially at the end ^-^

    Samuel never had any feels for Romy. It was a set up between him and Esme. The dog at the beginning was Samuel dog, as the dog was seen in the last scene with him. The mentor program that Romy kept saying she wasn't on, and he kept saying her name was on the list, was set up by Esme. Esme wanted more control of the company. Samuel no office worker he a barman/ gigolo and very good at both I expect.

    • @nikaidonikaido3975
      @nikaidonikaido3975 3 дні тому

      I also think it was a trap set by Estme. I got this feeling at the very beginning, especially after this short scene where Romy watches Samuel and her assistant from her office window + Estme tried to negotiate her promotion mutiple times. But the movie doesnt do anything with the pressue of being discovered by someone. If I were in Romy's position and discovered that Samuel actually has a relationship with Estme I wouldn't be jealous like her in the movie, a would be very concerned about their tandem, and Samuel's real motivation. He acts like he knows what Romy desires, which makes him look amost like an unnatural character, but I think it can be explained that Estme knows Romy well and probably noticed some of her vulnerabilities and just instructed Samuel. At the same time, Estme could confront Romy much earlier.( probably she did it after rave, as Romy and Samuel were seen together in publick) And there was no need for Samuel to come to her cottage house afterwards ( I didn't understand this scene why she acepted him, after estme conforted her) I think he's a weirdo, and he's in̈to these controling stuff, and maybe he eventually felt some sort of connection with Romy.

    • @nikaidonikaido3975
      @nikaidonikaido3975 3 дні тому

      Another point of view is that Romy secretly desires to screw up everything in her life, probably her career as well. She could fall into this trap knowing that she will be discovered anyways. But once again, the movie ignores this struggle, what in my opinion this should have been a "thrilling" part of the piece.

    • @rlytho2555
      @rlytho2555 День тому

      He would have been risking Romi accusing him of r*pe or seckshual assault. The dog scene at the end was Romi's imagination, she was getting off to the fantasy of her time with him where she behaved like a dog, while reducing her husband to the same lowly station, just a mechanism for her pleasure, a robot, like the ones she sells.

Nicole Kidman’s character in ‘Big Little Lies’ was exceptional however her characters husband was sexually dominate and abusive therefore ‘Babygirl’ has similarities but without much character development, scene continuity, quite disjointed!
