I'm a few weeks out from my test at the same centre. Done about 40 hours, did a little driving with a friend over the holidays and they commented that I don't use my handbrake really when I'm stopping at lights. Is this something I should be doing? My Instructors not really mentioned it much

The roundabout entering seacroft, I treat as a right 3rd exit simply because its slightly after 12 oclock. Good to know you can also treat it as a left 3rd exit.

Indicate left and go left. If you were wrong and in the right lane instead of the left, you can consider going all the way round and exiting as normal to your correct exit too.

His steering isn't ideal. The hand over hand got him in bother a few times I noticed. Hopefully he can feed it through his hands more

20:10 when moving off in stationary traffic it’s a good idea to check the side mirrors for cyclists and motorcyclists.

17:27 poor planning and poor driving from the black car in front, they saw a car already in the middle of the junction but they still continued to drive forwards and stop behind the car, blocking the way for anyone who wants to enter and leave the middle, they should have kept the junction clear, they shouldn’t have blocked access, just a tip, in situations like this when there is a central reservation, letting the cars in the middle clear before entering from the outside aids with traffic flow.

9:25 if cars are not allowed to use the bus lane because for example it’s a 24/7 bus lane or because it’s active they shouldn’t enter the bus lane at all, they should just cut across it at 90 degrees, giving way to any vehicles in the bus lane of course, it doesn’t matter if the bus lane has a solid white lane line or a broken white line and it doesn’t matter if it’s in operation or a 24/7 bus lane, you’re allowed to cross the bus lane at 90 degrees, you just can’t drive along the lane and you just can’t park in the bus lane, it’s the same with cycle lanes, if there is a solid white line and it’s in operation you’re not allowed to drive along the lane and you’re not allowed to park in the lane but you’re allowed to cross the cycle lane at 90 degrees.

I was driving home from work last year, I was first in the queue at a red traffic light and there was an ambulance behind me who didn’t turn off its siren or its lights, very naughty of the ambulance driver, but of course I only moved forwards when I had a green traffic light.

I was wondering what t69 meant next to the truvelo speed camera road markings, I searched it on google and it says ‘The T69 was a British Trunk Road created in the 1946 Trunk Roads Act, it ran from Leeds to Scarborough’, so, it seems like sometimes they put the road number next to the truvelo road markings to help the police identify the correct camera if someone is speeding.
