Our mother always says "money is for experiences." She also said "life is shit, then you die" but that's not good for business.
"april october" is a creative collective producing digital art, photography, documentaries, short films, & social media strategies, love ceremonies, music + dance events and all creative elements + solutions a new venture needs from concept creation to premiere
Because we live on one of the most beautiful islands of one of the most beautiful countries, we like to share 'our Zakynthos' with people seeking profound connection. Local treasures, local pleasures. So we are also involved in tourism experiences and come up with custom itineraries with an ideal mix of adventure, slow living, and hidden local gems.
If you travel alone, how do you connect with others? If you travel with an entourage, where can you throw a one-of-a-kind party?These are some of the questions we find answers to.

Theatrical Trailer for Historical performance on Zakynthos island
Funny fact for a serious video is that it's made of bonus footage I shot while doing my hired job of still Photography for the poster and it's ended up being one of my favorite work samples to show people cause it's short, to the point, and to me who understands the context - quite moving.
I'm glad it ended up being useful in promotion alongside the work done by my favorite Ionian channel and It's always an honor to work for the local and internationally acclaimed theater group Zymosis.
Directed by the talented, Pan like farmer - Kostantis Mouzakis, this play was put on as part of official festivities for the 200 year anniversary from Greek independence. The video was filmed on top of mount Skopos, one of the island's holiest sites. The play itself took place at the hilltop location (Lofos Strani) where our national anthem was written as Dionisios Solomos looked across to the mainland, towards the sounds of cannon firing.
The ending phrase in the video "My eyes did not see a more glorious place than this field (small battlefield)"
is a verse from the beginning of the work of our national poet "Free besieged." which he wrote inspired by the epic battle of Messolongi.

The imagery is fascinating but aren't you a little concerned it might be too distracting when we're trying to focus on the Gohonzon?
Thoughtful comment and we started by posting slower nature videos for our own personal use and after seeing they actually are watched by other people we tried to expand the offerings. For someone who wants to focus internally they can always turn the screen brightness down, choose a different video or simply not look at the screen but rather an altar in your space. For people with ADHD or something like ourselves the distraction of the video helps keep our attention on the words and away from thoughts.
