Hmm…interesting investment move so early in your retirement plans. Now, I see two opportunities for you here…if you decide to do it. 1, UA-cam content - show the step-by-step process of setting up this new venture (I mean show Everything the consultation with the Lawyer, purchase of the business, red tape paperwork, construction process, hiring, fees, etc.) 2, Daily running of the business activities once opened. (Unknowns, the wish I would have done this earlier, etc.). Good luck…I can’t wait to hear how this will turn out!

I have had zero issues with being seen on a walk in. From Samui, to Phuket, to Hua Hin, and Bangkok. Bangkok hospital was on the spot. Bumrungrad was on the spot. The dentists i have seen for myself or brought my GF to, both of us right in with just a minimal wait. I had cleanings. fillings cracked teeth and an implant. My GF had issues last week with a partial bridge. Brought her in an we were out of there with new molds made and fillings in less than 2 hours. It took a little time to get the bridge back for the fitting, but it was a few days only.

I don't understand your point. There are places you have to wait and there are places you can get right in but why try to insinuate that it's not faster than most facilities in the west. Why wouldn't you call and make an appointment unless it's an emergency? Seems like you were setting yourself up for failure. It certainly doesn't make a good Thai hospital bad because you couldn't just walk in for immediate dental treatment. There are so many options out there.

It’s more expensive to buy western brands. And cheap eating in Thailand is usually based on street food.

Up until fairly recently I lived in Bangkok for three years. I used Bumrungard Hospital for all my medical issues. I was able to get medical appointments for different medical issues the same day or next day. But I contacted the hospital for an appointment. Not just walk in. There was only one type of specialist I had to wait a couple of weeks. Because she was the only doctor for that type of specialty. For dental I used dentists in private offices not in hospital. I was able to get an appointment within a couple to a few days. If you just wander in for medical or dental treatment . You might have to wait hours or not seen at all.

it depends on the issue i walked in a saw two doctors derm, and eye doctor, I was able to walk in a see them the same day and within a few mins.

Once they get a hold of you for trying to 'defame them and their reputation', you might fiind that your crusade to 'tell the truth, about how it is' , could be very costly'. However your nickname tells us a lot about your lack of 'cerebral aptitude'. I don't think we're in Kansas anymore Toto!

Yeah, just life like anywhere and depends on location, but most dentists are not sitting around. People on YT, many, oversell Thailand to get viewers. Thai people work hard to be chill. But with wrong timing or comment or situation, they will blow a stack and lose their sh!t. Then watch out. Never fight with a Thai person. I thought Thai people are easy going, and they are towards you to let you do what you wish. However, it goes both ways, so to be demanding and obstinate towards them is a recipe for disaster.

Totally agree with your points on investing for long term financial success as soon as possible - if we just stick our money in the bank, inflation will reduce its purchasing power. On the other hand, as Einstein says, "Compound interest is the 8th wonder of the world. He who understand it, earns it; he who doesn't, pays it". Another key point on investing IMHO is as Jack Bogle says, "You get what you don't pay for", i.e. watch fees like a hawk! There are lots of very informative YT videos on skilling up and getting into investing.
