2025 Coachman Beyond - The Galley - An In Depth Review
My name is Dr. Jon Kaiser (a.k.a Dr. VanLife) and I am the proud owner of a 2025 Coachman Beyond. After an initial three months of headaches, I am now ready to take the DISCOVERY (my van's name) out on the road and put it through its paces.
If you're a foodie like me, the Galley/Kitchen area is a very important part of a camper van :) In this video, I will review every aspect of the Galley/Kitchen of the 2025 Coachman Beyond. And at the end of the video I will rate the Galley with an overall thumbs up, thumbs down or a meh!
The video begins with a brief ride over Mt. Saint Helena in Northern California on our way to Harbin Hot Springs. This is a beautiful spot I've been visiting for many years. Come along and watch the review!
Please subscribe to my new channel. I'm planning to post in-depth reviews on the Beyond's bathroom, bedroom, HVAC and electrical systems in the very near future. Stay tuned! Dr. VanLife

My 2025 Coachman Disaster!
Переглядів 9 тис.Місяць тому
I waited 8 months to take delivery on my 2025 Coachman Beyond camper van in Avalanche Grey. I was extremely excited to drive it off the lot of Happy Daze RV in Sacramento. Then began three months of one malfunction after another. Some of it was the dealer's fault, such as leaving antifreeze in the fresh water tank upon delivery. They also didn't do a thorough inspection or they would have caugh...
Minor point, but the shower nozzles are meant to leak, that is intentional. 😊
Build, or have someone with skill build yours.
Dr. VanLife, please take this as a compliment, but I like your quasi hippy-dippy approach. It is fun and refreshing.
Get you own DIY van is the way to go, to fix if anything happens, since you know it better yourself.
Give "Liz Amazing" a shout... she'll help you out.
Liz Amazing at Coachman in Indiana???
Hey keep yr hands on wheel! 10 and 2. 😊
Will do 😄
Hello from San Diego ! Your presentation is informative...you addressed many of my concerns. Looking forward to more of your reviews.
Like #7 ,hello from Puerto Rico Dr and friends
Thanks for visiting!
following your video as I might consider one later this year.
Upcoming videos will review the bathroom, bedroom, HVAC and electrical systems. See you there!
I greatly appreciate this high quality review by a Coachman owner who is neither a dealer nor a paid Coachman ambassador. Keep posting!!!
Hello from Puerto Rico Dr and friends
Hello Ramontoro!!! Muchas gracias por ver!
Coachmen screwed me over big time. I hope they reimburse you.
Tell me more...how so?
We're the original owners of a 2006 Pleasure Way and I use it for my everyday driving as well as taking on trips. The only problem we’ve had is with the dvd player, so no cabinets separating, no water or electrical problems, no appliance issues, etc. That be stated I see all these new style vans with solar and wonderful battery banks and I would love to update. The problem is I haven’t seen a video in the last seven years or so where anyone is happy with a production made van. So I’m sticking with our old style Pleasure Way. I’m not sure you would be able to get the dealership doing the warranty work to pay for gas since you made the decision to purchase from someone that far away. On the other hand I don’t find it unreasonable to expect them to pay for a rental or supply you with a loaner van. Additionally I think Coachmen should be paying your van payments for the first 6 months since the problems you’ve been having aren’t little details, but that might be wishful thinking. Your van does look beautiful and I hope you’re able to get all the issues fixed. Purchasing our van was one of the healthiest purchases we’ve ever made. The destination doesn’t matter, to work or on vacation, every time I climb inside it’s my happy place. Once you can get the issues taken care of I’m sure your van can be your happy place as well. Good luck with the van and your channel.
I stumbled on a video re Noovo vans…they look awesome
Your video has me slightly freaked out as we literally just last week dropped an order for our '25 22C and we're going down to TX to then drive it back up here to WA where we live. I tried to go local, but they got flaky during negotiations. Was your main issue for your power and hot/cold water just that loose fuse?? Has everything been fine since that second service? I know that things happen with campers, but I'm having to trust that our dealer is going to give it a full test as driving four days back down is out of the question, of course. Hmmm.
No worries first of two years owner I spent for one year for the service and repair. :) Full one year on the Dealer lot . They moving slowly, didn’t pay attention to details of problem . I have Jeyco b class
What a shame! We have had nothing be TREMENDOUS help from Coachmen in Indiana with out top-of-the-line Galleria!
Excellent information thanks Dr , subscribe to your Chanel at this moment
Hello from Puerto Rico friends
This is helpful to me. Thank you!
Very very frustrating. And unacceptable for the price of these. I hope they make it right.

Pleasure way is very good quality which you pay for but not perfect. Our new Pleasure Way had two issues from day one due to poor design. But their customer service is excellent.
The reverse camera is annoying Doc,
You're right...I fixed it in my latest post: ua-cam.com/video/8kPvYAj2TiY/v-deo.html
I don't trust the quality anymore with newer models. id rather buildout my own van
Personally I think after paying that kind of money for camper van everything should be working correctly They should be held accountable
We've had great success with our 2024 travato so far. Not one problem so far
Well stated on high volume manufactures and having a no-cost service appointment. The 2025 Coachman Beyond is beautiful rig and I hope doesn't end up plagued with issues.
Get your money back. The dealer ship is a scam.
I like the set up with sunshine RV in Gainesville Florida
It should be still under warranty
Yes...but who wants to take time off from work to drive 4 hours to the dealer for repairs on a new van?
With RVs, if you can’t fix it don’t buy it! Forget the warranty unless it’s a major expensive issue that is worth hiring a lawyer to manage.
Fyi ... if someone traded their RV after a year it's a good bet they were tired of dealing with a major headache.
In my opinion, the dealer should repair everything to your satisfaction while you wait! Screw all that driving back and forth to drop off and pick up. Since all of these problems would or should be included in your bumper to bumper warranty, then Coachman themselves, should reimburse you for all travel expenses including gas and rentals. Conversly, if you had stayed in a hotel to wait for the dealer to complete the repairs, then Coachman should be obligated to pick up these costs as well. These problems are the direct responsibility of the manufacturer and should have been caught before that vehicle ever left their facility! (Chris in Indy)
Hi Chris. You are exactly right!!!
What a nightmare! Brand new piece of junk. Look up Liz's Travels to see other's nightmares with the RV industry. She has gotten 8 buy backs for unhappy customers.
Coachman does not do electrical very well...sloppy wiring workmanship in many units. Plumbing is questionable on some unit...guess it depends on who is on shift for that unit...overall cabinets high end.
I have a 22 Beyond and i agree about the wiring, its a mess. I heard that they have already made improvements in the area in the last 6 months.
Thanks for your feedback! The cabinets are pretty nice :)
they should call this a LEMON and give you a BRAND new one
Lemon laws do not apply to the Coach in California. They just have to fix the problem and extend your warranty by the amount of time the van was out of commission. I tried!
dude this is horrible !!!!!!
We bought an Embassy RV on a Ford Transit chassis and love it! They are a small manufacturer. The VP of Embassy, Terry Minix, spends tge entire day with you going over everything in your van. Then they encourage you to spend the night in their parking lot to try it out. The next day they answer any questions you have and tweak anything that isnt right. Our faucet leaked and tge next day they replaced it for us. They spondor an Embassy RV meetup in June every year. We went to that before we bought our van and got to talk to Embassy RV customers. They told us Embassy treats you like family and is a quality build. They do Ford, Ram, and Mercedes chassis. We wanted a Ford and looked at Coachman. I am glad we saw some videos about Embassy, went to the Embassy meetup and later chose Embassy! We have a 2023 and no major problems! I hope Coachman finally fixes all of your issues!
You see...that's exactly what I'm talking about! That's what I thought I was getting with Coachman, but you are so dependent on the dealer being good that you can get screwed. I never heard about Embassy until you mentioned them. Where are they located? Probably not near me LOL. That was part of the problem. I was limited to a single dealer for Coachman.
We've had our 2022 Coachmen Beyond 22RB Li3 for almost 3 years and it's been great! No problems.
Feel your pain! We have had a similar experience with our Coachman Nova. Constant problems although not as bad as your electrical problems. 3+ hour drive each way in one of the most congested part of the country (DC). Pulling teeth to get anything fixed and constant turnover at the dealership so never dealing with the same people. Have been trying to get the awning fixed since we got it (worked at the walkthrough and never again): Thought I had done my homework and chosen the best quality for our budget so feeling let down. Good luck with everything
Thanks for doing this video - will you follow up on these issues with another video to see how they were resolved? I'd love to see what they actually were able to fix, and what was considered normal operation. I'm having some of the same problems with my new '24 Galleria: Shower temp, light flicker with water pump, as well as a chassis battery parasitic draw, awning issue where it auto-retracts too easily, table-mount issue, brake squeaking, and a temp gauge not being installed correctly. Overall I'm still pretty happy. Being involved with the industry, I think these are issues we're unfortunately just going to have to expect when we buy new. I'd expect them to be paid for and fixed in time, but I think it's just always going to take a few shakedown trips and visits to dealerships before you can really rely on any RV to be trip-ready. I've learned to just plan for these types of issues. GREAT find on the water pump switch - I'd have missed that!
I had problems with my 2024 van, had to drive to Elkhart IN.twice from NJ and the manufacturer reimbursed me both times. I didn't go to the dealer at all. Good luck
You hit upon the main problem. Anything from Elkhart Indiana pretty much is going to have problems. Stick with specialty van conversion manufacturers and go with a company that is based in Canada, ( pleasure way).
You are one amongst many UA-cam Van dwellers that should be Ticketed for Distracted Driving!!! I see Way too many of you filming like this, looking and Talking while Driving and one day you'll kill someone, Idiot!!!!
I’d make both manufacturer & dealer pay expenses. Lemon law
Yes they should pay for all the inconvenience, most definitely. Make sure they do or contact the manufacturer.
You should be reimbursed for all expenses. You should use the Lemon Law and get your money back before it is too late. Purchase a van and have a quality builder work their magic.
Thanks Doc ! So sorry you had those problems from the get go. And your advice to stay with small scale van builders is a good way to go IMO. Thanks and Happy Trails !
That seems to be the most common feedback I have been getting. See you further on down the road!
Too bad. Coachmen used to be a great name .... probably cheap labor or employees being pushed to go fast. Obviously poor quality check. But I think you should have bought the camper in your own area not 4 hours away. Bad decision probably based on price ...
Next time get a Pleasure Way. You won't regret it.
