Beautiful song. I like the dreamy shoegaze vibe. Danny's masterpieces include Lovely Days, Wings of a Dove, Caroline & FM songs Sands of Time, Woman of a Thousand Years + Sunny Side of Heaven that this song is built on. I would like to discover more about this band

As good as the original (by Kirwan) is, his best song is 'Sands of Time'.
I've been listening to Danny alot lately, Lovely Days is a good one to wake up to, daily!! Especially now, these days are not so lovely, November 1, 2020...😢😒. Thank you Danny for your music, which makes life more "bearable" when it gets so hard, and unbearable. Thanks to Peter Green also, for bringing Danny on board, and inspiring him. Sadly we lost Peter this year also. Their music lives on though, and I'm thankful, as I listen to escape the madness all around😢💔😘💙🌟💚💯🎶🎶💞
Listen to "sands of time" iam sure you have, but that is the one which sends me to another time, better than this modern way of life nowadays....... Anyway sands of time and Dust are superb....
Beautiful shoe gaze tune honoring Danny's style. I would like to hear more by this group. They are very musical & I like the dreamy mix that I haven't heard since "All I Wanna Do" from the Beach Boys Sunflower album.
Nice song, well done... but a correction is needed in your description. By the time the album on which Sunny Side of Heaven was released, in '72, Peter Green was long absent from the band.

Love this, it has a symphonic majesty, soaring lush chordal sweeps, you can hear 'Sunny side of Heaven' in it but it has a wild passion and sad undertone, and the drumming is incredible!
Not sure how I found this but glad I did (I think reading about Danny) - beautiful tribute with a couple 'dips' that really grab. One article said The Amazing compensated Danny for this, who (as of 6-8 months ago) is getting by, but no longer wishes to perform.
When I first heard Sunny Side of Heaven, I had to pull over (in my TR-6) to listen to it. If I had heard this, I might have run off the road. Love it!!!!!!

There's a few people getting a bit upset at this posting/version, I think it is glorious, Danny was a rare talent An accomplished player and tunesmith.

I dug around and people thought The Amazing "stole it", but I read Danny was getting royalties from it. I wish I could find the lyrics.. been looking (occasionally...) for several years.

Not a ripoff at all--anything could have filled that original descending guitar line. It was meant as a tribute, and indeed it is a beautiful one. Nice now, with all this, to be able to connect with people who love Danny's work. Bless you, Danny!
Why did danny leave Fleetwood Mac?
At the time they called it a nervous breakdown. Today, some sort of emotional distress disorder. Spent his days after music as a recluse. Fame has its price, not all are able to pay.
Danny was sacked in 1972 after an incident backstage.
