Of course people were busy before year's end. To be prepared for the New Year's holidays when all is closed. Hopefully you had a great time in the first days of 2025.
Thanks Martin! I used the New Year holidays to shoot a month's worth of videos😂
Amazing walk through Shibuya neighborhood. I'm sure there is so much more to explore in the area and this video let me want to walk more into the streets of Shibuya. What really fascinates me in Shibuya are the streetart on shops or cafes. They have a special vibe. The particular cafe at min. 23 looks inside also amazing with it's wooden european interior. Sorry, it's forbidden to film inside, so.
Sure, walking through the bustling streets of Shibuya can be tiring because of the crowds, but exploring the quiet back alleys is really enjoyable!

Thanks for for the video. At the end when you got to tracks 1-4, do all go to Disney Resort?
Thank you for watching! No, platforms 1 to 4 are for the Keiyo Line, which goes mainly towards Chiba, passing through the Disney Resort. Many people heading to the Disney Resort take this train, but there are also many businesspeople who use it👍
i am european. i always visit and pray in Yasukuni Shrine. Japan is the winner of the east asia war. Japan defeated european invasion and colonialism
Thank you for always visiting Yasukuni Shrine when you come to Japan!☺
These short films are like a portrait of a place. Different to walk-arounds the scenes have cinematic character. They giving a good idea of a place and ot's atmosphere.
Short films are really challenging. Despite requiring a lot of editing, the final product often ends up far from the image I had in mind. Practice is important in everything😅
Short but beautiful. Very festive atmosphere and the gardens I really love. Amazing that this place is in the middle of Tokyo.
Happy New Year! Thank you so much for your comment. This is my new challenge. Making short videos to match the music is tough, but uploading them is easy😂
What an amazing walk in the evening. I love the blue hour so this would be the perfect time for me to visit. Must be great making this in summer. Komoro castle is stunningly big and looks today more like an adventure park. This place has a special atmosphere.
I had always wanted to visit Komoro Castle, so I’m really glad I finally got the chance to go this time. On top of that, I was lucky enough to catch the autumn illumination event, which made it even better!

You did it!😊👍
Looks like the area around the station is a big commercial area. Guess they have put together smaller towns to a bigger community. Indeed it's in good shape but you miss the heart of a city.
Thank you for your comment! This area was originally covered with rice fields, but it was developed into a relatively new town when a Shinkansen station was built here in the 1990s. It is also known as a successful example of a town in a regional city that rapidly developed after the establishment of a new station😊
I watch this video on Christmas day, so Merry Christmas to you and your family. Hope you have a great time. This place looks to me like a typical Surburbia. It reminds me of a place close to mine where it looks like similar. But I would'nt like to live their. I love my village although it's a lil unconvenient.
Hey, Martin. Merry Christmas! Unfortunately, I’ve caught a cold (lol). Suburbs certainly have their own charm, but living in a place you love is the best. Life in a village seems rich in nature and full of unique appeal. Even if it’s a bit inconvenient, it offers a special kind of peace👍

Nice side trip into the forest, and a great view too. I guess there are many hidden Shrines in Japan's forests who are almost forgotten. With the depopulation on the countryside more places fall into decay. But this place seems to be still intact and filled with spiritual power.
I agree. In Japan, there are many large and magnificent shrines that attract a lot of visitors, but I personally prefer shrines that stand quietly in secluded places, away from the public eye, as they feel more sacred to me.
I love night walks, this special atmosphere outside the allday life by day. Especially the castle area was amazing, although there were surprisingly many people on the way. And yes, the ols cinema was cool. Thanks for this interesting walk.
Thank you for your comment! It’s always such a joy to discover beautiful buildings in unfamiliar cities. Finding unique architecture that you can’t see in Tokyo is the best feeling!
Modern and old culture mixed together. I love the old culture of Japanese. I would build a old style Japanese home and garden, but unfortunately my wife wont let me.
Thank you for your comment! That’s unfortunate to hear. I’ll try creating videos that can help convey even a little of the charm of traditional Japanese houses and gardens to your wife👍
When you wander around Akasaka you can see that this a very sophistcated area. All these fancy Bars and Restaurants look interesting. And I think the Centurion meanwhile must have become a kind of landmark. I was surprised to find a big Harry Potter shop there, just magic. The video really gives an impression of the Akasaka glowing nights.
Yes, recently Akasaka has seen a significant increase in foreign tourists, and there are more restaurants and hotels catering to them. The Harry Potter shop is also a popular tourist spot, and you can often see many people taking pictures even during weekday afternoons😊

Japanese traditional Festivals are amazing. What I think is cool is that also Foreigners are attending these Festivals. The owner of my favorite Sushi Restaurant had lived for 20 years in Japan and had also attended by carrying a shrine. I also liked the Live Jazz Session. An interesting and lively area of Tokyo !
As I was recording this video, I couldn't help but notice how, in recent years, there’s been a noticeable increase in the number of foreigners enjoying Japanese festivals alongside us. I think it’s truly wonderful!☺
I think you have been in Kamaishi before. I rembered the Plaza with the Miffy Cafe. Whern I saw the flooding mark on the building I thougt that we have the same in Europe. In cities by a river you can find these marks too on old buildings, they go back centuries. Two storeys is heavy.
I visit Kamaishi for work once or twice a year. The area around Kamaishi was one of the regions heavily affected by the tsunami on March 11, 2011, and the sight of many brand-new buildings ironically brings back painful memories.
Yeah, around Tokyo Station there a lot of passages. I remember another video on the way to Keiyo-Line. But I guess it's good when there are bad weather conditions.
Underground passageways are very convenient on hot, cold or rainy days, but it is easy to lose your sense of direction!😂
Definetely an interesting district. Never heard of Monja but looks yummy. This island exists in an amazing contrast between these lil historic alleys and the massive apartment blocks around. But these small alleys in my opinion give a good impression of the old Tokyo.
Monjayaki is a local dish from Tokyo👍 This area is what you might call the "downtown" part of the city, where the old, nostalgic charm of Tokyo is still vividly preserved☺

Definetely an interesting street. What amazed me was that they have backgroundmusic outiside along the street. Usually every shop has it`s own annoying sound. This is next level shopping !
I think that places with well-organized shopping district associations often have background music on the streets. I hadn't paid attention to this until you mentioned it, but it may be a sign of a strong shopping district!☺
What a nice and sophisticated area. Jiyugaoka belongs to the prominent western suburbs. What's about the mall "La Vita Jiyugaoka", was it prohibited to film ? It's a unique place in Tokyo, a lil Venice well copied. I think a desirable place to live.
Thanks for the comment!😊 La Vita Jiyugaoka had a “no commercial photography” policy, so I refrained from taking pictures just to be safe. It will be a long time before I can monetize my channel, though😂.
Cool to see Ikebukoro ist still lively and trendy. For me most fascinating is to see Sunshine60 Tower is towering over these lil backstreets. An icinoc tower which was the tallest one when was build. It was featured in several Manga and Anime. Difd you know the tower is haunted ? Obvioulsly you can have a great time in this area 😃
A ghost at Sunshine City?! That's the first I've heard of it! I've been familiar with Ikebukuro since I was a kid, and visiting again after such a long time brought back memories. It hasn’t changed much; it still has that same "Ikebukuro feel" I remember so well😊
@@Arukimushi I think this issue is to specific for most people, so they don't know. There were occuring different supernatural phenomena in and around thew tower. It is seen in regarding to the fact that this landplot was the infamous Sugamo prison.
Interesting. But you know a lot about Sugamo Prison. Nowadays, even many young Japanese people don't know that there was a prison in Ikebukuro😳
Happy Halloween ! Guess Shibuya was this year despite measures very crowded again. It's stunning that Shibuya has many hidden areas who are so special and lively. Definetely a contrasting area with many fascinating sides.
Even within Shibuya, there are areas with very different vibes. This time, I explored some of the famous, bustling spots, but I’m thinking of checking out some of the quieter, hidden corners next time!
Nihonbashi revisited ! This time strolling through the elegant parts of this area. Endind up in the backstreets I see the real contrasting streetscenes of this area. I could discover here new interesting places that makes a visit more exciting.
Thank you! I had no idea there was a place in Nihonbashi where you could enjoy such a calm, relaxed night vibe. Unlike Shibuya or Shinjuku, it’s less crowded and perfect for a leisurely stroll😊
Kanda is a central area in Tokyo. The entertainment area aroundthe station looks big and surely you can find there many interesting places. Over the bridge you already arrive to Akihabara. Interesting to find that every Tokyo district has different character and qualities.
When I visited this town during the day before, I thought it would surely be fun at night too, so I decided to make a video this time. Just as I expected, the place showed various sides, and on the way to Akihabara, I even discovered some hidden tourist spots. It was a great experience!☺👍

Walking instructions with Yoh 😅 Amazing that you really need 10 min to get there, definetely helpful. At this station I don't want to be the Facility manager.
Thank you Martin! In some areas, you can walk to the next station in just five minutes, while on lines like the Keiyo Line, it can take over 10 minutes just to transfer between platforms at the same station! Tokyo is strange place😅
A relaxing area and not so overcrowded than more popular areas. But also there some tourists found their way into Yakana. Really looks more Tokyo authentic than for example Shibuya. Nice walk 🙂👍
Thanks for watching! This area is popular with tourists from abroad, but it wasn't as crowded as I expected, possibly because many stores were closed on the day of filming. I'll check out the lively side of Yanaka on a future visit!😆👍

A cool walk through this area, these back alleys are always fascinating. And this Temple festival looks so fun and enjoyable. Especially the Taiko drums were impressive. Your texts are still great. I guess it has to do with your job.👌
Thank you for watching! I happened to get off at a station where there was a big festival going on, and I felt really lucky! As for the text, my teacher is actually helping me with it. His name is CHAT GPT😆👍
