Great vid. I'm about to do my second SR build and have some questions if you don't mind. Those 10 wraps around the magnet...would more wraps, say the width of the magnet, increase the output? Do the wraps just connect to the other antenna's hot and ground (in parallel) or do you just connect the ground and leave the "hot" free as its own antenna?

I’m enrolled to go there in October. I’m local so expenses are not going to be an issue. I was a structural mechanic in the Air Force for 6 years and would like to get back in aviation. I do have a question though… Can my experience as a sheet metal mechanic get the 8610-2 forms filled out for this school? I have no engine experience but plenty of airframe experience.

My first PA22 was a 51 125. Life sucked the wind out of me and I sold it to a guy that inspected it. After I got my ticket with its hours. Then a 57 PA22*150 and here comes life's curves again. Not flown after my wife died. The Flying Rock is a great airplane and tons of fun. Enjoyed your story

the video might not be to bad if your focus was on your project instead of trying to be funny. your embellishment on Tesla's reaction when he heard the sounds added nothing to your video.; lets just say this was 40 min of my life i will never get back.

That's a really interesting and entertaining video! In another life, along time ago, I was in the Reserves of the British Army and drove light armoured recce vehicles. As a driver, you were expected to carry out basic maintenance and repairs, and assist the "real" mechanics should something major go wrong in the field. The Army had a similar regimented approach to working on the vehicles. One thing I always remember is that the engines and the inside of the engine bays were painted a very, very light green, in what was almost like an enamel/heat proof paint, and you could eat your dinner off the surfaces they were kept that clean. As part of your schedule of maintenance, we had to clean until every nook and cranny was spotless. If you spilled any oil or other fluids while topping up in the engine compartment, it was a major non compliance and you had to clean up every last drop! lol You mentioned torque wrenches in the video, and I just wondered what ft\lb range you typically used/needed?

I just retired from about 30 years as an aircraft aftermarket repair technician. One of my favorite tools were the Proto spline drive ratcheting combination wrenches. Not as pricey as Snap-on but very good quality. Quality tools was my highest priority because I had to fix what I screwed up!
