Me and my drums trying to play "Home at last" by Steely Dan. I dubbed the original music on the footage. I hope anyone likes it!
Still an awesome song.
Solo Veracruz es bello
I need a shower after that solo!

I’m from Veracruz 🤣🤟🏽
the sound, man....uuufff...
I know... Got it from a bad VHS tape😢😢
@@linjebus it's ok...😊
Veracruz México
Nice performance. But I think the 1987 version from GRP Super Live featuring Vinnie Colaiuta on drums is much better than this one.
.I remember when this song came out. I had no idea that Buddy Miles was the vocalist..I thought it was Carlos until watching this right now...
Hahahahaha
It is most definitely Graham L on drums and it looks like Alphonso Johnson on the bass
No one like Carlos his music is incredible, and he is the best, love this man.
Tom Scott, we love you!
I really think that I could play the guitar too if you show me play so beautiful man at Dove is on your string my favorite song is holiday I take that back my favorite song is doing good and evil
Just keep dancing them that's all you got to do man that's the easy part you know what I'm talking about go back to Woodstock brother
Carlos is the best singer around plays the guitar like nobody can ever hear it I'm your biggest fan Carlos that song is cool with the rooster you seem to amaze me Carlos your musical methodical writing mazes anybody you could Dazzle anybody in an audience too easy for you brother I love you with all my heart I'm from the Bay Area and you're my favorite
my dad playing drums here
One of the all-time greats!!
Hi Friend. Why Santana make him leave? He's my favorite drummer of Santana.
Great song, great vid... but what's with all the "stiffs" in the audience, just sitting there picking their asses? Don't they know that's SANTANA on stage?!
THANKS SANTANA, FOR SINGING A SONG TO MY LAND VERACRUZ, CITY
Beautiful time and music....
le roi des rois
exact en haut de l affiche
I watched this a million times on VCR in the 80's and I still remember each note. Never heard a better version. A classic performance.
actually is Graham lear, for sure
Sorry Peter, It is Graham Lear...
NOT Graham Lear on drums, sorry. This is Mike Shrieve, indeed. THE Mike Shrieve!
Just looking at the kit you should know it’s not Michael Shrieve. Mike never played his cymbals that high. He was always very compact.
It's clearly Lear. They look a bit similiar, yes, but....
Really nice, you nailed it........
Yummy. Forget the laundry, forget the rain, we'll get to heaven on the 7:30 plane. Do what you want to do - down in Vera Cruz. Part of Master Santana's talent is choosing excellent vocalists.
i guess im randomly asking but does any of you know of a way to log back into an Instagram account?? I somehow forgot the login password. I would love any tips you can offer me.
@Jaxon Clay instablaster ;)
Okay, and fuck you!!!!!!!!
Is this the shit? Oh yes. Funk motor. Git down!
beautiful solos
@rafauleciaelcarpio He does indeed! Well spotted!
I am working on this and babylon Sisters and can now do the Purdie Shuffle in its basic form, I have a long way to go and hope to post a video up in about 5 years!! However, the essence of this song is the Purdie Shuffle and it is conspicuous by its absence here, and so it is pointless posting this video as it shows no talent whatsoever
Awesome! You are THE ROCKMAKER!
I agree! You are missing the point. This is NOT the "Purdie Shuffle" which is the essence of this song. The groove is what made this tune the classic that it is. And the groove is missing on this rendition.
I saw this show, with the same line-up of musicians, in Montreal, Canada, 4 months after this taping. It still is one of the best concert I have ever been to ! I couldn't believe my luck, to see 2 legends on the same stage, Carlos and Alphonso !
soulful and supremely gifted. Should go far!
awesome!! santana looks very similar as kirk hammett in this video, doesn't he
Go back and now learn the "Purdie Shuffle" you're missing alto of ghost notes and nuances that tie the groove together. Just search it in UA-cam and find the Bernard Purdie videos featuring this, that will make this song alot more fun to play. Keep drumming!
Art Rodriguez is on the Drums
Your father Julian?
Yes
Thanks for posting this vid!
WONDERFUL!!!!
Very nice show with a touch of glamour from the 80's; it is sad, we don't have such shows anymore!
Hi Mic. Nice video. First you add the right attitude and second you add the right timing and BANG ! You get the Best Drummer in Denmark. Mit Freundlichem Gruss Der Schlagzeug-Klempner Aus Wiesbaden,DE
