Yeah its a distilled water container chopped long ways. Some metal rod for axles drilled through the plastic and cable tied on. Dead simple. Seen the same done with a plastic washing up bowl.

No it was one made by Matchman Mick Sullivan who was the original pump builder as far as I know. His pumps are second to none, but unfortunately he passed away during 2020 after a long spell of illness. You could ask around the forums if anyone has a second hand matchman pump, you might get lucky. There are probably other decent pumps out there, and its quite easy to build your own out of 22mm copper pipe, some videos on youtube. ua-cam.com/video/BesBS4qFstc/v-deo.html

Hi Sergey. If its a clipped down rig with a single bait I guess I am getting close to 200 yards/meters if its not to0 windy. I was casting 170 about 5 years ago on the field and my cast has massively improved since then. All I can say is keep practicing and dont move on from each progressive casting stage until you have mastered each in turn, i.e. overhead thump- Brighton cast- South African cast- low swing pendulum- finally high swing pendulum.. I know Rob, little buba, must be this years hatch. I have had some tiny hounds this year too. Once had 2 thornbacks smaller than my hand off Brighton marina. Sometimes its just as rewarding as catching big, its lovely to see the detail, perfection in miniture. Take care mate, regards Steve.

Cheers Paul. I am desperate to get my first undulate so will be trying Shoreham a lot more regularly especially once the vacine is out. I did fish it fairly regular before covid, both the harbour arm and widewater. Jad some nice straps to 5 or 6lb. My boys mate had a 16lb on the beach just to the right of the harbour wall. Cheers Henry. Well done on the Bass mate. I did a bad one once down there to Golden balls. The mackeral had chased a load of whitebait inshore and the water was foaming where they were feeding on them. The whitebait were throwing themselves on the beach in desperation. My mate ( goldenballs) collected loads and put them in the bucket of water we had the mackeral in. It took him ages, so he probably had a good few pound. Later I decided to change the water as it was now really bloody from the gutted mackeral, so I carefully took the mackeral out, laid them on the beach and threw what I thought was the bloody water into the sea only to watch his whitebait all fly out with it. I had completely forgotten he had collected them and had to own up as we watched them float out to sea. It was a very quiet drive home 😂😂😂

Henry they are made of nitrile rubber and were made by by Mick Sullivan also known as matchman who sadly passed away a couple of months ago he used to make these pumps to order

You can, if you keep getting tails you might be going to deep. Try different depths until you get a whole worm then try to keep to that depth as they tend to stay roughly at the same depth. They do very on different days though, sometimes they will be just below the surface, other times they may go deep. Look at the line where the sand is coming up to on your pump and wipe it clean each time until you get one, then use the mark on the pump to gauge the same depth each time. Hope this helps you out mate.

@@Chunkythefatfisherman yes mate I also do air rifle hunting mainly rabbits and rats used to shoot over a farm doing wood pigeons but they built houses on the land.so it’s only rabbits and rats at the moment do you shoot as well as fish.

@@leemadden3able yes mate but trying to secure a permission. Have one in Essex 4 acres but it takes me an hours drive and theres not much there. Would love a go at the bunnies. Loads where I live but no one is willing to let me on their land currently.

Worst session 10worms best session 31 score. Its like rolling a dice, but air pressure 100% a factor. Lok for days below 1010.

Just practice. I know it I dont get it in 1 pull its gone. Occassionaly will do 2 or 3.

Usually by going to deep with the pump Adjust the depth until you find them.they tend to all be about the same depth on any given day.

Hi Scott, if you only get tails, chances are you are going to deep with the pump. Try adjusting the depth until you find one and then stay at that depth.

Paul, you're right, I love the pumping just as much as fishing and as you say great way to keep the mind and body in shape.

Just progression. Over head thump to off the ground then off the ground with weight round the back then low sing pendulum finally high swing pendulum. If I could give you one piece of advice it's don't move on from each stage until you've mastered it for example don't try and do the Pendulum before you've mastered the off the ground because each stage you learn muscle memory and technique from the very off make sure you've got your hands right on the rod and your arms fully extended and in the right position when you reach the pull and push at the end of the cast get these sorted first and when you finally get to Pendulum you won't have any bad habits

@@larrybailey5080 sorry to hear that mate but that's the joys of pumping. Best with atide below 1m and air pressure under 1010. I have been one day and got 30 score and gone the next day and struggled to get 30 worms. Just keep at it and it will pay off.
