The Project is a spinoff of The Newports, our 9-piece blues/rock/soul band that performed in southwest Michigan, northwest Indiana, and the greater Chicago area from 2014 through 2022. The Newport Blues Project was launched in 2022 by Newports’ founder Bill Bielby, along with bandmates Jumpin' Gene Halton, and Jeff Sachs. You'll find us, with special guest artists, popping up at venues in the area, performing roots blues along with blues originals. In winter and early spring we perform in and around Tucson Arizona.

great rendition. Guitar is especially tight. I love listening to different versions of Mr Bowie's music. H e always changed everything which was so refreshing live. This track is one of the better ones

Cover bands are a dime a dozen and all most cover bands can do is imitate and attempt to reproduce the music they grew up with. I submit that THIS band is NOT just a cover band, They can give you the songs of yesterday in the style they were originally performed, but their talents go well beyond mere cover. I feel the soul of this band and wish they were closer to me so I could see them live..
