You should have dialed Koala Hospital or nearest vet the minute you spotted the mould. Too sad.
Poor little fella. He was so sweet. Every koala life lost is another heavy blow to the population. Koala life is so precious. Please, please do whatever you can to help save them. You never know, even sending a dollar might help vet scientists come up with a cure for mange or a retrovirus. It can be put toward planting a tree that will be feed many koalas, and provide a home. Please....won't you do what you can to help save this sweet, innocent, inoffensive animal from becoming extinct?😢🐨

That WATER could have been what REALLY KILLED HIM!!! When Koalas get water in their Nose.... They can get whats called: ASPIRATION PNEUMONIA. And when a Koala, ESPECIALLY one, in the wild ie; NOT in Some kind of capitivity, where they're being looked after, for ex: To Recuperate from something.... They have NO CHANCE to survive A.P. KOALAS cannot drink from "Falling Water" ex: water POURING from something, bottles etc... OR, From anything whereby their nose will be SUBMERGED under the water even BRIEFLY!
