Summary: • Over time your environment / surroundings will eventually have an effect on you. Performing 5 daily salah helps protect you from your environment. • It's a Sunnah for a husband and wife to leave the house for a stroll. • Renew your shahada everyday. Eg, after performing wudhu. • Everybody is doing dhikr but isn't necessarily remembering Allah (swt). Eg, constantly thinking / remembering about money / business. Salah helps break this. Remember that Allah (swt) is our Everything and gives us Everything. • Routine --> get comfortable --> addiction --> stuck in your own world (not necessarily haram things) --> get attached / comfortable to this world. Salah + fasting breaks this, so don't forget Allah (swt) and why you're here. • Duniya is like a toilet; you're surrounded by filth and you get used to the smell. You won't realise the stench until you die / leave here. Aim to get a taste of the Akhira. Dhikr of Allah (swt) will change this. • 2 things are beloved to people; o Desire of the stomach, eating too much. Fasting is a waste if you don't feel hungry / thirsty. When you're not hungry you get up to things. In which case food is your dhikr. Fasting replaces useless dhikr (eg food) to dhikr of Allah (swt). o Sexual desires. Even when you're married, there's a limit. Replace dhikr of your spouse to Allah (swt) during Ramadhan. • Like going to a doctor - The Quran is the prescription of Allah (swt). • Laylatul Qadr helps us get the same rewards as previous generations who lived for hundreds of years. • Package for last 10 nights; o Read the Quran every night, preferably a juz. o Some dhikr o Hadith - reading the following x 3 times is equivalent to performing dhikr from Fajr to Dhuhr; o Subhannalahi Wabihamdihii o A'dada Khalqihii o Wali dha nafsihii o Wazinata arshihii o Wabidaada kalimaati o Tahajud / Qiyamul Layl o Sadaqa every night. Eg, $10 per night.

Imam is telling Allahu Agbar instead of Akbar . Here in Bangladesh, the hanafi alem says "Agbar" instead of " Akbar".
