Very hard game for the time it was an incredible challenge but I managed to complete it and that's with no save state or save system at all. It was a case of hoping the game wouldn't crash because it did have a reputation for doing that.

I remember playing this game on my family’s Sega Genesis plug in play game and this particular part scared the SHIT out of me! Like I was 6 or 7 and almost immediately was having some existential dread.

I only played a bit of this game and its sequel as a kid with Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection, (Bring that shit to Game Pass, Microsoft!) and I had no idea what I was doing.

It really is sad the series got rebooted so much. Poor Ecco is still stuck out there....

I'm just getting into Sega games as i never owned anything Sega other than a game gear. So I've pretty much just played sonic and I'm not very good at it to this day but this game was in switch online and i just ordered the Sega controller and i can't believe I've never heard of this game until recently. What an absolute mind fuck and very difficult game.

I was always mesmerized by seeing Ecco rotating with so many (and pretty) animation frames, first by doing that "pointing in all directions" motion, and then spinning like a...hedgehog.
