My apologies that I am just seeing this comment! The first scene is from 15x14 Wednesday’s Child. It’s the episode in which she find’s Noah in the drawer, and yes she was still with Cassidy at this point, but they break up not long after this.

Also, it does appear that Olivia has had commitment issues in her past relationships and while it didn’t come out in the show, so to speak, I’m just wondering if it was bc she was “holding out” in hopes that Elliot would come back, or if she was just so used to him interfering in her possibilities of happiness with a man that she just cut the relationships off when they got too close…prime example would be Ed Tucker…

He definitely loves her the complications were not something he wanted... but his heart was his heart ❤️ he was married had beautiful kids and HE DID LOVE HIS WIFE and he cherished his family. He was a good man, husband, father, and also partner. He tried to keep his family safe. He never wanted to divorce his wife or break up his family... for those of us long time fans we know that his kids especially his daughter would always get in trouble. He wanted to be there and help raise his kids with his wife but that didn't STOP the fact that he was also madly in love with his partner so much so that even his wife knew it and in part accepted it bc she trust that he wouldn't act on it NOR would Olivia. That was pure faith... there were some times when it was harder than other NOT to act on it. When Liv would get hurt or in danger his feelings always consumed him and it became hard for him to NOT give in to his feelings for her. It got to a point he left. And as the story goes it would have been too hard for him to say goodbye bc one look or word from Liv and he would stay, and that wouldn't be fair to his wife or his kids, or Liv. So all that to say he 💯 loves her and always has. But it has been complicated of course but now time has passed. Their entire situation has changed. We all knew if he ever came back he somehow would no longer be married. I believe they found the best way possible for that to happen respectfully to the characters. And allowed him to honor his wife, family and even his own moral compass, and respect what him and Liv have always had. Now they for the most part can start fresh, but at a different point in their lives their love can grow and bloom into a real life together... and even his kids and understand and respect their relationship unlike if he would have cheated or divorced their mom for Liv.

@@STVBuddyMatch I’ve gained some perspective on their love and relationship over the last year, since this video first came out. But I am also still on the fence. I’d love to see it blossom, but at the same time, as she discussed with Rollins in her last episode, there is so much to lose if it doesn’t workout. An entire friendship…Olivia is afraid of that…but as I said at the end of the episode that aired on 2/2, when she and Elliott almost kissed, when she said “what if it doesn’t workout?” You have to actually try at something before you know whether or not it will work…and Elliott seems to think it will. I just don’t want them to do to us like they did with Rollins and Carisi; yea they let them get married, but we don’t get to experience some of it onscreen with them and I want to be able to experience Elliott and Olivia’s love…they deserve it and so do we!! So whatever they do, I hope it isn’t a series finale thing!

​​@@STVBuddyMatch I agree with everything you so beautifully stated. The ONLY thing that doesn't jibe with their 12-year relationship when Eliot left is the fact that he left her without a word. In my opinion, that was a terrible betrayal of his character. Eliot would never in a million years just ghost Liv. He loved her with his whole heart. She was his person. That the writers chose to make him so cruel to Olivia, knowing what it would do to her, has always left a bad taste in my mouth. They didn't have to do him dirty like that. Eliot deserved way better and so did Liv. Now, we're left with a woman who has somehow managed to live a very full life while her whole heart beat somewhere outside of her body, living his own life, leaving her to suffer in his silence. How does she overcome what he did? How does he explain NEVER reaching out in over TEN years!!? That begs credulity and is difficult to forgive. I hope that the writers will rise to the occasion when they give us the seminal moment that will drive these two back into each other's arms. I can't wait! And, at the same time, I'm terrified. Kinda like what Liv must be feeling.
