I needed a vise stand to use outside. I show you how I built mine using some steel and an old steel wheel that I had laying around.

Girls from casters on one side that way you can lean it and just roll it around it'll be easy on your back
@@hectorcalderon3011 that’s definitely an idea. My thought with using the rim was I could roll it. Or just use a hand dolly. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts
Great job. That's not going anywhere without your permission! Thanks for taking time to upload the video. Regards Doc from Australia.
I work in a machine shop and I just fixed one of these for a guy same exact thing. Ran for a few hours and welded one of the 2 bearings to itself.. I would pack the bearings and put some extra in the housing then grease after up to temperature . And then grease every 4 hours of run time.
That would make sense to me. That’s what is supposed to be done with my cat head for my excavator
@@williamharvey3658 we went back with American made bearings for the guy, funny he said the same exact thing . Grease fitting was covered by a cover and thought nothing of finding a grease fitting before running it.. hopefully you get it fixed and get good use out of it.
@@DIY-Dave same here. Mine had a cover over it and no stickers about greasing. I just need to find the time to tear into it.
well done, cheers from an old guy in Florida.....Paul
Thanks!
I did not catch what caliber you have but Weatherby makes a DBM for some calibers 25/06, 270, 30/06
This one is chambered in 270 Winchester
Going to measure my Axis xp in the morning
I also have a savage axis 2. I might have to check it.
I don’t know but I’m commenting for the algorithm
Much appreciated!
@williamharvey3658 no problem! I just hope you get your answer soon
@@joemcduck2748 I got a reply from an individual that said they take their measurement from a blank barrel before they start cutting it for the rifle
Bad ass!
I delivered grain to an elevator that was 6 mi away by myself with two wagons and a 706 tractor when I was 8. And their were probably four or five others just like me. I used the front of the seat against my butt to hold clutch down.
Let's teach em right don't drive with shit up in air that how ppl get hurt or killed dumb dumb
One proud father and one very happy daughter. 😂😂
Should be teaching not to drive with arms in the air. Bad habit
I will.
If she got hurt because of the choices you made - would it be your fault, or the child's fault?
You have to start teaching them something at some point. What would you teach them?
@@williamharvey3658 I hear you, and to answer your question in general - AGE APPROPRIATE things. Not operating heavy equipment or machinery of any kind and for a very good reason - children do not have the same cognitive abilities as adults, and most importantly the same physical strength and stamina. If something went wrong a child could panic in this situation and you wouldn't be able to do anything with your camera in hand except unwillingly document a disastrous event, which unfortunately you created. I hope you understand what I'm trying to say, it's not from envy or hatred - its out of love. I want to leave you with this, as it always reminds me why we should not allow kids to PLAY with ADULT toys, it happened back in 2008, copy and search this into google to read the story: "Police Chief Among 4 Indicted in Boy’s Death at Gun Show"
That was me and my dad lol I was her age driving all kinds of Deere equipment my dad is gone now but I can remember those days like that where yesterday
My dad use to stick me in the driver seat while we feed cows and told me to hold it straight. He is gone now too and I miss him everyday.
You are one in a million dads take care an keep up the good work
👍👍❤❤
Now back to the camera out and show Dad there with the remote control!!!
There was no remote control
I love everyone teaching their kids how to run heavy equipment. Makes me happy haha. That smile is priceless man And how many people can say their kid? Can run a bobcat or an excavator? Awesome man, you must be a good dad. Goals though, ima be the same way if i ever have kids.
Thank you. She is an absolute blast. She has spent time with me on multiple different pieces of equipment.
@@williamharvey3658 you're welcome! She's doing great!
Teaching the youth is super they learn faster than us old farts
She is extremely smart
Heck yea my daughters been runnin my track hoe and tractors since 5, she’s 17 now! Easiest one I’ve ever taught to operate!! Good job I love seeing kids learnin equipment
Great job daddy. ❤
Great job for teaching and her listening
Thank you and God Bless.
This was my personal experience: Maybe it will help someone else. ua-cam.com/video/Um2yqEZ4EsU/v-deo.htmlsi=0fuEB-C9POv4zTpo
That is so awesome
That makes me grin
Good job brother
When I was that age I was basically put in a different room and ignored 😂
Apparently I miss read your comment. Sorry. Hopefully that different room was cab of a piece of equipment
I bet all the bubble wrap around your kids is fun! I'd take this dad over u anyway!
Good for her, now if I can get my older kids to respond and Obey like that I'd be golden
She has her moments when she doesn’t want to listen. But she definitely did a great job
That is AWESOME TEACH THEM YOUNG ❤❤❤❤
You sound like John marston
I have no idea who that is
And you thought this was worthy of being on YT?
As a short? Sure why not? Look at everything else that’s on the here.
Is some weeping/sweating around the weephole normal?
It should be dry. If it’s weeping then I’d say the seal is not quite doing its job
Nice rifle though.
I had the same issue and rebuilt my box for less than $100. Not too difficult. Do not pay them $1K for a new box. Good luck getting parts from them as well or any help for that matter. I videoed my rebuild and link is ua-cam.com/video/6KnXHr5D__c/v-deo.html.
Great video. same exact problem i was having. Thanks
Glad it helped
What did you find out we just got onee of these and used it for 10 minutes yesterday and it locked up
I believe the bearing locked up. Unfortunately I have not had the time to pull it apart
I have one that locked up as well The bearings welded themselves to the shaft now I need bearings and shaft Order the complete assembly $1000.00 8 days ago and it still hasn’t been shipped
@@butchthompson1425 what did you originally pay for ?
Do not grease it. Fill with gear oil. Greasing pushes the seals out. Gear oil has lasted me 200 hrs so far.
It’s locked up so it needs to be repaired before anything else happens
@williamharvey3658 understood more so advice for others and for you going forward. Your local auto parts store will have bearings
So add the fluid to the fitting on the motor where the line is coming off but ur saying don’t grease that grease fitting for the bearing?
How did you know it was bad? I’ve done the rad and thermostat and can’t keep it cool. 150k on overhaul so I had a pump put in it. I’m at a loss at this point
It was leaking out of the weep hole. Mine runs hot in the afternoon when I’m working it hard. If I slow down the temperature comes down. Have you verified that your fan is working?
Fun is running way too often that’s the issue. Seems to heat up quick and cool slow and seems to be getting worse. 80 degrees out and it’s acting like it’s 110. Fan comes in at 205 and it’s been hovering at 204 a lot
@@thewhich15 I was told if pressure is down replace the pump. I am having a similar issue and I think my radiator is tired and needs to be replaced. 1992 with replaced core a few years ago now we put a 475 in it when it had a 330 and i cant keep it cool.
DREAM JOB!!
Thank you for your effort doing this video tutorial! I over greased my upper ball joint on my 3500 DRW and blew the seal. Absolutely perfect video! Top notch explanations. Just need to find the torque specs.
Thanks. When I grease, I put just enough to see the rubber bulge out. Remember the rubber keeps the grease in and the dirt out. However sometimes you have to push some of the old grease out.
@@williamharvey3658 yea it was totally my bad. My line of work I’m used to expelling the old and in with the new. First Cummins and a lot to learn on my end. I am mechanically inclined but this is definitely a new chapter. I got a little grease happy. Learned my lesson for sure! It’s perfect timing, need to do front breaks and calipers. 06 dodge 3500 DRW crew cab Laramie 4x4. 168k it’s time to freshen the dude up a bit! Thank you for the reply, William!
How often does it need to be changed?
I would only change it when they start leaking from the weep hole or if you know it has a million miles, never been changed and you are doing an inframe
You don't have to pull alt, bracket or regulator hsg.
Thanks 🙏
