I can't get the model to import to blender at all. Every time I just get the same python error message saying it can't find the specular. I'm on Blender 4.2, I have downloaded and installed everything listed here. I have no problem viewing everything in Umodel, but Blender is being a d**k. EDIT: For anyone who runs into this issue, the last version of the Blender addon was made for Blender 2.8. At some point between then and now (4.2), Blender's code was changed, specifically the name of "Specular". To use the addon, you'll need to have a version of Blender compatible (2.8 is hard to go back to using) So, I recommend trying newer until you find one that doesn't work and go back one.

when i go to inject the cooked uasset from unreal engine to the ingame uasset using the mesh injector, the injector starts working then freezes and stops responding, has this ever happened to you, would you know what the problem could be?
No it’s never happened to me before. I don’t know what the issue could be. >_<
@@ninjagrime4287 nevermind I just cooked it wrong, Cook content for Windows never worked for me, had to Package Project instead everytime, I did it this time and it fixed it Thanks for the quick response tho

Put Cid on the left down corner on your first turn, then the bronco in the upper left corner on your second turn and put the tonberry king in center left the third turn. Then you just have to keep claiming you pawns back until she skips her turn, then play low cards then get destroyed instantly. Finally replace the tonberry card for the gi nattak, make sure there are still cards in the most left row before playing gi nattak. Deck: Cid Tonberry king Gi Nattak Fill the other slots with cards that generate more cards when played or destroyed to max out your score, but keep them low enough to be destroyed imidiately after placing them. Just got a 109-0 on the shadowblood queen using this strategy.

Hi! I followed the video and tried to start with the dress model instead. No extra material added for this try. Everything went well until the step for the mesh importer...when I click inject it pops up with the error window in which there is a long list of log and saying " runtime error parse failed LODSection CorrespondClothAssetIndex" things, tho I installed the Microsoft .NET...May I ask if you know which causes this error?
You only need Microsoft.net for the mesh importer to even launch. The error you probably got I’m guessing is because you injected the dress model onto his standard uasset instead of his dress uasset.

Hey I'm new to modding but I have a question. Does your custom mesh have same topology as the standard Cloud?? I have DAZ 3D for cloud and tifa with different body modification with quads poly and I'm planning to import it back to Blender but I wonder if there are ways to project geometry into the game model that has triangles. Do you have a suggestion?
For the most part no. The only part of the custom model that’s the same is the head. I try to sculpt the custom body using the official standard outfit as a base, so the proportions line up. As for what you’re trying to do with your DAZ model, I don’t really have any suggestions, sorry ;(
@@ninjagrime4287 Interesting, I thought that would be a big problem if it doesn't match the same geo. What would become the UV Map coordinate? Is your map position and scales also different?? Does everything really boil down to correct skeleton structure, material/weight painting vertex group in the naming convention to make this simple adjustment??

Hi. My Principled BSDF is different form yours. For example, I have a whole drop-down menu for Subsurface with values like Weight, Radius, Sacle, Anisotropy. Can I still make it work with these values or should I downgrade my Blender Version? I’m currently on 4.0
4.0 was still unstable at the time and messed with the shader setup, it’s why I reverted to 3.6.5 for now until they fix it.
Importing uasset files in 4.0 wasn’t working either for me. With 3.6.5 everything seems to work. Thank you very much!

Really wish this was like Triple Traid from FF8, where you could lose a card or use the cards to make powerful weapons/armour. They have an "item transmuter" for crying out loud. Anyway really good build.
First thing I thought of when playing QB was FF8 triple triad.

I tried cooking the assets in Unreal Engine 4.18, but I only get a large .uasset file instead of a .uasset and .uexp file. Am I missing something?
You’re probably checking the wrong folder. Go to your unreal project folder, saved > cooked > windowsnoeditor > End > Content > etc. That’s where the cooked assets will be.

Thanks for the video! Just curious though why did you need to deal with Tifa's assets/textures as well as clouds?
Because I wanted to show how extra material slots work in case you have too many textures. Alternatively you can combine all your diffuse/_C textures onto one big 4096x4096 or 8192x8192 map in photoshop just move the UVs (on the first UV map) on the mesh to match the new map. Only thing is, you’d also have to make _M, _N, and _O texture maps of the same size if you’re going this route just to put everything on one material. The extra slots method means you don’t have to do that extra work, plus you get the freedom of choosing what materials get certain detailed normals if you know what you’re doing. Hopefully what I’ve explained makes sense. It’s quite a lot 😅

Yo this is a good video!! Is there a simple way to model swap? Say for instance I wanted to swap Cloud’s model with Tifa’s, how would I go about doing that myself?
Another method of model swapping is through BluePrint Editing which is easier, but this method is the only way to get your custom outfits into the game. BP editing will let you swap models within the game around. It’s why mods like Scarlett over the BusterSword exist. Like sure, her model is now on the Buster sword, but will it be fully animated/rigged like a human? No. Sorry for the late response, I’m just busy these days.

(and in the correct order too). 26:32 Step 11: Combining Meshes 27:41 Step 12: Exporting as FBX with the correct options (fbx must be named the same as the OG model) 28:55 Step 13: Import FBX to Unreal Engine 4.18.3 with the correct fbx import settings then place the assets in the correct folders (materials for material folder, models, skeletons, and physics go in model folder). Then go to file > save all > go to file again > Cook Content for Windows, and let it finish cooking. 31:24 Step 14: Save all custom textures in TGA format (any other format will be darkened by the texture injector) 32:25 Step 15: Creating the Mod folder 33:42 Step 16: Using the Mesh Importer (instructions are self explanatory). 37:19 Step 17: Using the Texture Injector (instructions are self explanatory) 39:15 Step 18: Creating a pak file (the mod file itself) (FINAL STEP) Then you place it in your ~mods folder.
